The ones I've seen look fine, I just don't have any interest in Kyoryuger, so I have no interest in owning DC figures.
Saw over on TokuNation that Gaoranger is getting run again in South Korea along with a rerelease of the DX Mecha. I’ve been regretting having sold the few Wild Force Zords I previously had, so this is awesome news for me. Hopefully these Korean releases of the molds will be easy to get ahold of for a decent price. I’ve seen even previous Korean Gaoranger releases going for a bit of a high markup like the older Japanese and American releases.
Holy shit, I was literally about to buy Gaoking off Mandarake. This is fantastic news. EDIT: Nope, no toy reissues:
So there is suppose to be a Hasbro Panel in Germany soon. I just hope they finally reveal MMPR Yellow Ranger.
It blows my mind that we haven’t heard anything about lightning collection Megazords yet. Seems like a no-brainer, though I suppose it’s not as simple as just repainting a base buck and adding a new head like the rangers themselves. Seriously though, make some voyager sized, transformable megazords with modern articulation and I’ll buy all of them. Deluxe size auxiliary zords and ultra/leader size carrier zords. Do the siege thing and add 5 mm ports everywhere and effects parts. Maybe even some cross compatibility for all the combiner pegs. Seriously I’ll buy them all.
Thanks. I just placed an order. Toysrus Canada has been getting lots of problems shipping their orders. And that's what I figured with my order.
My Drakkon shioped last night from Gamestop. They shipped it two weeks after MMPR Red. Should be here Monday
Got my MMPR Red today. He looks good, but I have to say, I do not like the plastic they're using for the Lightning Collection. I know the plastic for Marvel Legends was always on the softer side, but this still almost seems partially see-through too.
Yeah, there's something weird about the plastic. I pulled the sword out of my Red's hand today for the first time since I got him 2 weeks ago and the black handle left black paint all over his palm while I now have red on the handle from where the paint rubbed off. Not only that, but even the ranger gun, which has been sitting in the holster for the last 2 weeks has missing paint from where it ripped off inside the holster.
Saw Lord Drakkon was in stock on Pulse, canceled my Amazon preorder and ordered both him & the Red Ranger on Pulse, well that's all I want from Wave 3 on to Wave 4.
Thanks so much for the heads up. I've seen the whole wave at retail sans Drakkon. I'm not taking the chance of finding him given the case ratio, so I just ordered the figure.
I think In Space and Zeo seem to show up as having a lot of interest when they do polls and stuff. Even those that primarily connected with MMPR will have some connection to the seasons after that. I know In Space brought me back in after I gave up with Turbo. I’m sure that Hasbro is committed to this line since they own the entire Power Rangers franchise now. No idea the sales numbers but there are less of these made than Legends and they seem to sell okay so far. Hasbro clears out a ton of Legends that don’t sell and they have licensing fees eating profits there. All that should matter to them is where the buying power is. MMPR clearly sells the best, even Bandai Japan realized that, but that market has also been served a lot in recent years. The legacy figures just didn’t do it for most people and I know many found the figuarts to be too pricey. This line seems to hit the right level for the more casual fan getting high off the nostalgia. Hopefully with them owning the brand they want to push exposure of the wide variety of seasons they have had. There are teams that may never get completed but I’d say it’s a safe bet we get someone from every season eventually.
