Pretty much the same with me. It's just one half of the tail that if forced it looks like it's gonna snap clean. Imma try to push the pin before I attempt messing with it, also I will transform it when I get back from work to see if there's something else too.

I had the same issue with the tail, then I took the blunt end of an exacto and used it to push the red part up....it worked and there were no breakages and everything went to where it needed to be to tab in properly.

so you just brute forced it? Hmm mine seems to go 3/4 of the way and then if I release it, it slowly recedes. Don't really feel confident with the damn thing.

    Right...It's here finally.

Good news: To be honest I'm less disappointed than I expected to be after all the horror stories. The joints, tolerances, tabs are mostly stiffer and more troublesome than the original but mostly (see bad news) not to the point at which things have broken or not worked as they should. I had the second (see bad news) most trouble with the tabs on the backs of the robot knees, the tab just would not go in without EXTREME force...but once I'd done it once it got easier. The sides of the torso DO tab in on mine....most things tab in as they should with varying degrease of ease and success. I was able to go from robot to beast to robot to beast with no serious issues and no paint chipping...something I can't say for the original.

The colours generally match the original a lot closer in person, they're just a little more vivid. I'm even considering swapping the (working electronics) robot mode head from IT-02 for my (battery drain stricken) head from the official.... The dino hide is more noticeable different, its more glossy and less even with more imperfections then the original on account of it being painted more traditionally, but its not bad it's just different. The butt covers are nice touch, nothing I needed but nice none the less. The die-cast robot feet and tighter ankle joints in both modes DO improved stability which does make me happy.

I don't really have a strong opinion on the accessories. The golden disk is thicker and no longer says "The Sounds of Earth" due to the moulding being of centre....this neither upsets or pleases me. The sword is pretty much identical to the original as far as I can see...so that's fine. The faceplates don't look any more or less flawed than the ones I have for the orignal...so gain no harm no foul. The stand...well its alright but it looks even cheaper than the original due to lack of metallic flake in the plastic....but it does its job just fine.

Bad news: Due to all the tightening up of joints and tolerances things are definitely more prone to breakage and I broke something. Now I will say I blame myself first, TT's original design second and IT's tightening of the joints in question third. So what i did was.. I broke the tail weapon. I didn't need to transform it.. I've always found the tall weapon silly and have never displayed Dinobot with it plus I HATE the way it's engineered. However I wanted to do it once just so I know it worked and well... it didn't. The joints you need to pop out to allow the ends of the tail to rotate back over itself are so tight that I 'had' to apply excessive force and the plastic around it snapped...I should have just left it. An hour or so of berating myself and carefully gluing things back together and I have a perfectly functioning tail that no longer turns into a dumb helicopter 'weapon'. It's annoying but I can live with it.

What else is dumb is that the sword no longer tabs into his hand....it's fixable I guess but even for a KO it seems like it shouldn't have gone into production with such an obvious error. Although I said most things tab in as they should there are some exceptions, some of which I think can be fixed with a little filing or applying of glue/polish, the only one that really bothers me is the legs don't seem to want to line up right when you lock then in place at the knee...I don't plan on displaying him in robot mode but it does bother me as thus far I haven't found a solution.

All said and done it's not the home run or well polished package IT-01 was. Instead it's a flawed but passable KO of a pretty difficult to KO figure....it feels to me like IT rushed this out and if they'd taken a little longer about it they might have produced a better product. I think I got a 'good' one...so I'm ok with it but I would not recommend IT-02 unless we see some improvements in future runs. For my purposes this will do me fine, it'll be my beast mode Dinobot and at less than half what I paid for the original I can put up with it's sort fallings.

Thanks I figured that was one of my options however I may just keep the sword as a spare. As i said IT-02 will likely stay in Beast mode most of the time.

Well, Oh My Primus says they can’t give a refund on the down payment and shipping because of QC issues. I can either get it shipped, or put the money towards the Takara version.

I did throw around the idea in my head of taking this one and painting him into a Grimlock, but sounds like adding more paint to him won’t help the transformation issues.

So it-02 showed up and when I took him out of the box I was pleasantly surprised with how good he looked and felt, then I transformed him and the exact same thing that happened to Ben in his video happened to my dinobots foot, it completely snapped off at the orange peg, I wasn’t even using force just slightly moving it and bam :(

He also has the tabbing issue on the robot sides which isn’t that bad compared to the foot breaking and both of his weapons don’t fit in his hands. I took him apart to do the mod @Chopper Face did and it was going well until a spring on each arm popped out and i don’t know where to put them back in, so now he has floppy arms in bot mode, I took a pic of the springs if anyone knows where they go that would be awesome.

So I’m not too impressed with this ko but then again it’s a ko but then again infinite transformation have done good kos before so i don’t know what to think.

I also managed to fix his foot so he’s going to stay in bot mode and I gave his tail to the original mp41 as it fits perfectly and doesn’t look out of place.

Lastly in my honest opinion the no brand ko is better than this. Come on IT

I received my IT-02 from ShowZ today. Checking it briefly in robot mode it has the torso gap and non-fitting weapons issue that seems to be on every copy. Quickly sanding the pegs of the weapons resolved the fitting issue. Checked all the articulation joints and so far no breakage. I guess I'll try transforming it later today, hopefully it can survive that.

Out of the box it seems to be worth the $82 or so I paid for it. I never got the official as it wasn't something I was interested in, so I can't compare with the official, but in robot mode at least it feels decent enough. So as long as I don't encounter breakages (fingers crossed), I'll be satisfied with it.

That said, I'm never pre-ordering an IT product again.

Did you just sand the length of the peg? I wanted to do this, but was afraid it wouldn't tab in well back in dino mode.

I just sanded the section that's pegged into the robot hands. I didn't consider if it would fit well in dino mode, but honest if it didn't, I'll just figure something out to get by. I guess my expectations for this toy is so low by this point that short of it crumbling into pieces upon contact, I won't be too bothered with most of the issues. LOL!

Did you sand the diameter or the length of the peg?

I tried sanding the diameter. Probably didn't sand it completely. I basically tried to remove the brown paint on that peg as much as I could.

I don’t recall any springs coming out when I did the mod but it’s been a little while and I’ve disassembled so many other parts of the figure since then.

If you removed the arm exactly as I did then I think the springs could only belong in this area

I managed to get the springs back in yay. They belong to the mechanism inside the top of the shoulder (under where its marked). I made a simple to do mod a painful to finish mod :)

How’s yours coming along? I took the shins of the robot mode off to see how the beast mode would look and it didn’t look good so I just put everything back where it was originally and now this one is staying in bot mode. I did like how the legs looked when put on the correct sides but mine was a mess in beast mode so I just gave up lol

My torso mod is almost complete. Getting his side pieces to contour around a thinner body has been tricky and then finding a way to attach them is even more of a nuisance as the new size and shape makes the pin sections useless- hence why I’ve removed them.
I got some magnets and am attaching them with moulding clay because glue doesn’t stand a chance of holding and there’s some pretty specific angles that need to be achieved.
It’s projects like this that really make me jealous of those 3D modellers with their own 3D printers. I’ve just got a hairdryer and some pliers.
    DF3BD880-0EC4-4A48-96D5-77874E2E75D2.jpeg
This is the rougher looking side almost complete. Plenty of scuffs and wounds from melting the plastic in an attempt to literally bend it to my will. The damage is fine with me though as this will ultimately become the battle damaged Dinobot from CoH.
Think I’ll add one more little magnet to the front to really hold things in alignment and then it should be finished. So much trial and error and straight up guess work but it’s finally working out.

This is a test run shot of the other neater side so it should end up even neater when I’m all done.
    A1428D66-F325-4D40-892C-ECF5BFA8610E.jpeg

I also just thought of taking one of the hands off my beast mode display version to create a ‘thumbs up!’ option.

Id happily buy this standard of KO (hopefully slightly better) for all the other characters just so I could tear them apart and have a full cast of battle damaged bots; Primal from Guerrilla Warfare is a must have display piece!
