Apparently he been updated to release in early August. At least on Show Z Store's page.

HOLD THE PHONE. Those are mistransformed. And I'm not talking about the abs. The windshield pieces are not pushed down all the way and are making the head look more sunken in than it should be.



Looking back at all the ab pictures like this one:



the chest pieces are all popped up. Maybe that's the only way to have the abs pointing inward. So, for those of you guys who like the abs this way, pick your poison, I suppose.

 

But.... the vague memories and concept art I have says otherwise....

 

Got released last Tuesday.

 

I remember a couple of months back when the colored images of this figure got shown and a lot of people were talking about passing on this version of the mpm because of the abdomen and small head. It's really great to see all this positivity now right before release, praising the hard work and extreme modifications Black Apple and Weijiang have added to this mpm. And let this be known, Hasbro should be thanked for providing a great base model that needed to be improved upon. Despite the flack Hasbro gets for this mold, we wouldn't be able to get such an amazing prime from weijiang if they didn't make this figure. It's an amazing time to be a movie fan.

 

Its funny, right? Being nostalgic and much more calm about the Bay movies only after they stop lol

 

On a side note, how long do you all think they have will take to release ironhide haha. It’s been way more than a year since we saw the gray prototypes for this guy, and we only just got the gray prototypes revealed for ironhide. A 2021 or late 2020 release is my prediction. Hope I’m wrong tho  

 

Hopefully they redo and improve all of the mpm’s like jazz, barricade and bumblebee into something more accurate to the films

 

I have a feeling he won’t do them but I would buy an upgraded Barricade in an instant. The official and BMB are already great so one by BA would definitely be outstanding!

 

I really wish that ko tlk deluxe barricade he made got released

 

I went and looked at it again and it honestly doesn't look good. Using the deluxe as a base just doesn't work.

 

Yep needs a new mold

 

I'd be surprised if a DOTM version of this guy isn't planned, looking at how his firewall abs transform. It's only minor remolding. So it would only make sense to do that version right.

 

What do you mean when you say do that version right? Meaning, just the abs? Or are you referring to other things?

 

I mean the whole package... i.e. the trailer.
