These two work very well together, despite being from different films in the MCU timeline.

Now I just need the other... like, 65 Avengers.

Prototype by a company called CCSToys. I believe ShowZ has a pre-order up. Hoping we'll see more of him at WonFes at the end of the month!

Don't suppose anyone knows where I can get my hands on a Figuarts Mark 85? Desperate to complete my Endgame Avengers!

Playing with these T30 figures really hammers home how far the engineering has come. Everything I have from Siege fits together cleanly and solidly, with the exception of a few known manufacturing errors. If you follow the instructions and make sure everything tabs in at each step, you're golden. The T30 toys are so fiddly by comparison, requiring the jiggling half a dozen parts until they snap together properly.

They don't feel like toys I'd be happy giving to a child.

    Popped to Belgium, back now!

There were OSKOs waiting for me...

    OSKOfacestealer.jpg

That's one mean Murderface! (Dethklok, Dethklok!)

    A tale of two Screamers.jpg

"So a fiend might look, I thought, when it had at last struggled up from the pit of some dark star" -- Gene Wolfe

Well it's actually two Balrogs snarling at each other in a chamber of Utumno, isn't it? Although I guess that'd count!

(Thanks of course to the ever-awesome @gtf316 for the larger flame of Ûdun.)

    Dark night knight light.jpg

    Heavy mithril...

Pfahahahahahahaha, that is totally awesome and hillarious! Goodness knows what you've done to global cultural understanding! :lol :lol :lol

Neato, ta! May have to put him on the list...

(IF Redwing turned up today and he's a bit fab! :D )

    It is indeed!

Also you're likely too young (and possibly too French Canadian) to know the film 'Hellraiser' that I was riffing on.

Yeah, don't get me wrong, there were some stunners in the Thrilling 30 line(Sandstorm, you sexy beast!) but some of them did feel quite cheap and fiddly. It was as if the ambition didn't quite match up to the constraints in production at the time. There was that period in the early to mid 10's where the credit crisis seemed to be effecting Hasbro's bottom line and we got some very compromised toys. I think the hardest hit were the DotM and FOC/Generations lines.

Thankfully, we're now back to (mostly) good quality across the main lines... we just have to pay a bit extra these days!

It was great thanks! Caught up with some old friends, visited the seaside, amused a small baby, saw a giant parrot hive, lounged in cafés pretending to be sophisticated and had bottles pints and steins of delicious Belgian beer.

Or as our thread mascot would say:

I give them props for their beautiful bot modes, but in general I agree. There's been a big jump in the industrial design over the last five years. Siege Sideswipe hammered it home for me.

No way are my T30 Springer and CW Magnus being displaced by the Siege versions, but a visiting kid who wants to play gets Sideswipe.

    Exactly! :p

(It's actually the UK equivalent to roughly Grade 11 in Canada, the final year of Secondary school.)
