We're definitely all the poorer for TC's passing. These stock photos are well done, better than Bumblebee's, but when TC got a hold of an MP that's when the real photos dropped. And you're right, I'm sure TC knew all those figures were in the works! We know for a fact that OPv3 was in the works at that point so I'm sure he'd at least heard rumors. I remember him saying that most of the og Autobots were in the works, already had prototypes, but they go through editing and revisions and need to make the auto companies happy to win the license.

Busy ass day paid off only to come here and see these EPIC shots of the long awaited Hound ! Goddam he looks marvelous ! Legit , walked right out of the tv ! His bot mode is easily the cleanest & neatest so far .

Is that removable roof/tarp thing new? I legit don't recall it from the show. If they're going for real world accuracy for vehicle mode given how WW2 Jeeps did use those covers, that's legit cool.

 

it was never a toy feature, and it only appeared in 1 episode. Unlike the other “one time in one scene” accessories, the canopy is an actual car accessory as you noted.

 

I'm dying to see how they squeezed his missile launcher into his vehicle mode without having the parts detach. Again, somehow 3Ps rarely manage that kind of black magic (also gives me hope that if a Sideswipe 2.0 happens one day they'll give him a fully integrated, non-detaching launcher)

So, MPV3 gets a Spike figure... Bee2 gets a Spike figure. And Hound gets Shaggy cosplaying as Spike? Maybe Lance from Voltron?

Forgive me, for I am starting to fall for the toon accuracy... I used to be so opposed to it but there's something about Hound that's really making me warm up to this. He's just so clean.

I don’t want to add to the nitpicks over current MPs but honestly non painted face details on the human figures has always irked me. I got the Dr.Wu heads for the MP-21 Exo Suit and they are amazing! Hopefully a third party company will make figures with detailed faces for the current MPs
