Studio Series 05 Optimus Prime. Didn't like this figure to begin with, and to make matters worse Hasbro reveals a much better retool of the mold less than a month later.

did this thing connect? surely the original color scheme is the one you have. I thought he was a smaller version for savage claw. I never looked too closely at cybertron toys to know.

    POTP Starscream

No. I won’t. My also has QC issues, like the shoulders falling off, and the Arms being too tight, his legs are loose, and compled with a cruddy chipping eBay paint job, it’s the worst experience I’ve ever had!

There was no "reduced size" version, other than the small Legends one. Universe Leo Prime was indeed a slight remold (new head sculpt) of the original Leobreaker, a toy severely hampered by the "Savage Claw" gimmick, which was itself further hampered by budget cuts, resulting in one great mess of unsatisfying toy.

MPM4. I'm glad I was able to sell him after I bought LT2. Kind of wish I waited on MPM Bee and Barricade now, though....

Most of Studio Series, I just don’t like the movies anymore.

BB Optimus and the new Bee universe are an exception though, that figure is godsend.

Ah yes, the largest beast era figure, and if I remember correctly, he was a colossal shelfwarmer.

Yeah, it was a straight up repaint of Cybertron Leobreaker. There were two repaints in Universe 2.0. The more white Lio Convoy version that was a Target exclusive and the more Optimus repaint that was mainline. I have both and can do a duel Savage Claw mode.

I have to say I really regret getting Generations Roadbuster, what a lackluster figure, loose joints, real loose ankles could barely stand. Paid only $8 for it and still feel ripped off. Not a good figure at all.

Lol the only other Bayverse figure I purchased during DTOM was Powerglide. Not a bad figure though I do regret it when we got the CW one.

I guess it's good that had an additional purpose, but it's still not much of a save for everything else on it. I kept most of my cybertron to universe repurposed series on their own shelf, and most of those were mediocre originally BUT none of them (almost none) make me bad driver angry like that guy.

Worst part: I still had a Lio Convoy sitting in a box that is an awesome toy, I had no reason to need this one. that might have been a contributing factor.

I found the wg clone 2pack at a comic shop for $9. That pack was supposed to start making up for putting them in those online exclusive multipacks. Then instead of finishing them with a matching two pack, they switched the order and started the two packs over again at 40% higher prices.

I gave up on finishing them, it wasn't fun at that point. Now I that I have two wg two packs on the shelf it just looks like I gave up and reminds me I don't have Punch/ Counterpunch as well.

I'm thinking no clones is better than faked clones when it comes to my shelf.

Oh wow. Very good topic. I have a list of them but I won't actually list every one. Just top 3.

3 Pack Siege Decepticon Impactor - I did not want the retail version because the head wasn't good enough. So I went for the aftermarket Decepticon Impactor. He was cool to own for about a week until I came to terms with the reality that I didn't buy him for the right reasons. All for a head sculpt? Not good enough unfortunately.

MP44 Optimus Prime - Purchased on the secondary market. I tried so hard to love him. His loose hips and rickety knees annoyed me every time I took him out to pose. I'd pick him up and place him back down to stand on and every time I did this, he'd splay his legs in this A stance I didn't want him to. I couldn't take it after two more months. His sale felt really good.

Go! Hunter Smokescreen - In terms of frothing at the teeth Transformer purchase hate, no figure sticks out as a huge fiery regret like Go Smokescreen from the Transformers Prime TV show. Loved the character in the show and picked up the reputedly 'most accurate version' which was the Japanese version at the time. I was so, so, so frustrared with the Transformation. It got to the point I gave him away randomly just to get him out of my life. Maybe it took me 3 days to come to that decision.

Siege Impactor. A case of "I really want this upcoming figure but to tide me till then I'll get this figure"

Ironworks. Loves Brunt but this guy is meh

Six shot. Just...didn't appeal to me

Time for a two year update:

Titans Return Alpha Trion. A €30 Voyager beast former that can't open it's animal mouth? Plus I despise Trion anyway.

Earthrise Starscream. Jet mode was too small for my taste.

    Siege Sky Tread. Too small.

    POTP Battletrap. Too small.

Earthrise Runamuck. Too big for my taste.

Earthrise Cliffjumper. His head seems kind of big and if I got SS Cliffjumper first, the Earthrise figure wouldn't have got a look in.

While I love Netflix Soundwave, I wish they gave us a better Ravage figure. We need a good modern Ravage that can open and close his mouth.

If we are doing updates, I'd love to throw in Earthrise Hoist. A fellow collector who I generally trust got him and raved about the figure, so I followed suit. Man was that a mistake. He's too chunky in all the wrong places for my taste and I have no real connection to the character.
Once he's done in one of my storylines, the guy is getting thrown on Ebay (or here if anyone wants him) so fast....

Currently it's still TR Six Shot. It would've been Earthrise (G2) Megatron, but I didn't intentionally buy him so much as was sent him by mistake (and subsequently told to keep him).

X-Panse crossover figure. Floppy mess with fiddly transformation and lesser quality plastic.
