He looks better than Siege Prowl.
But he is definitely the better toy of the three imo.

 

Yeah CV Prowl looks great, but the others likely have superior quality control. He'd be very nice for a Barricade and Bluestreak custom.

 

I agree, and have been thinking this for a while, long before Siege was announced. Jetfire, Powermaster Prime and Overlord are the only recent Leader figures that I see as appropriately sized for my collection, and the variance between Leader and Deluxe is just ridiculous in general. Admittedly, I was initially shocked at how much smaller Siege leaders are, but I've already accepted that this is what I actually wanted all along.

I never knew what size-queens so many fans were until Siege leaders were revealed.  

I can make do with Sixshot, but the size of Siege Magnus would be perfect for Sixshot. I have to re-evaluate how much I want Greatshot now.

 

I like SS Dropkick.
I think Siege is priced just fine and I don't mind the sizes.
TR Octane might be my favorite TR voyager.
Siege Prowl looks nice.

 

barricade repaints of prowl make no sense. movie bumblebee basically has the datsun-style upper body, but barricade definitely doesn't besides the hood-chest, so datsun repaints are ill-fitting at best.

 

I would bet so much money that Siege Shockwave started out as some kind of voyager figure that they just recycled for this line and threw on that "armour" as a way to fill a spot for a Leader class figure. I hate it.

BUT I would have totally been okay if they did that with Prime and throwing in some kind of Apex armour like figure with him. Or, you know, a Star Saber who they could then release a "weaponiser" Leo "whatever his name is" for him separately. I would have totally bought both of those (even though they are smaller then previous releases and that REALLY bothers me. Those releases would be different enough for me to let it go).

 

I think the conceptual designs for these are left over from what they had prepared for the POTP poll. With them not winning, they just decided to take the two that worked the best and overhaul them for the new line in the new style. So, they more or less had the concept of it done and on paper, they just revised it for WFC.

 

Barricade should be a Jazz remold.

 

I'm not really into Unilla Ice Queen Cone. Her wings are weird, though very clever in its transformation. Her face is less defined and her mane looks half-done. Plus I hear there are issues with her wings snapping off.

I'm super pumped about the re-issues. My issue is that I already have a representation of several of those characters, so that leaves me with very little in the way of options. Plus I'm not crazy about the price.

 

Yeah. I already bought most of the G1 toys I want and I'd love to buy them misb I doubt they will be reissued before 2022, if at all.
I'm still waiting on a reissue of G1 Mirage or so. I'd like one of those misb.

 

Siege Shockwave was well worth the Leader-class price, and is a much better toy with more play-ability than Ultra Magnus from the same line.

 

Since the mold was supposedly lost or broken, you'll be waiting a while.

 

siege Cog is highly overrated. easily the weakest figure from waive 1 including the micromasters.

 

I see G1 Mirage's, complete in box, going for $35-50 shipped on ebay. Considering Hasbro's pricing scheme for these you wont see a better price range from them.

 

Those are probably those "High Quality" Chinese KOs that popped up about a decade or so ago.

 

I don't really get the comments of "TOO MANY BUMBLEBEES" (maybe this one), "WHY ANOTHER OPTIMUS, MEGATRON OR STARSCREAM, WHY CANNOT GET NEW AND UNIQUE CHARACTERS".

Like, there's obviously people who prefer the Classics version of Optimus than the SIEGE one, but complaining because Hasbro it's making the same character again makes no sense, like, Hasbro won't be hiding in your House playing subliminal messages or threatening your family if you don't buy it.

THERE WILL BE ALWAYS an Optimus in any line, just because they made one excellent figure 10 years ago doesn't mean they won't do another.

 

Also, they're flagship characters, so they kinda have to make them. Plus, I don't think a lot of parents would spend up to 80 bucks on a deluxe toy that's a decade old. Also, "perfect" is bit too high praise for that figure.

 

Seriously! Like, for example, when was the last time they released a Prowl, Ironhide, Mirage, Chromia, Hound, Starscream, and Soundwave?
