Basically all of the Bay-verse characters except for some of the figures that got toys under the movie line but weren't in the actual crappy movies.

Sadly I have no love for how most of the G1 characters were portrayed by Japan's G1 cartoons either but comics and other TF outlets have managed to do them some justice.

 

Ironically Airachnid was the only character I liked on that show and I would've bought the figure if they had done her justice. But like you said Hasbro was cheap and lazy with the figure so my money went elsewhere.

i don't think there's any characters i outright hate except for prime wheeljack. really just stands for everything bad about prime. uninspired g1 design for a character that wasn't g1 at all in personality, super cool sword guy with a chip on his shoulder for no real reason, generic face, and randomly slapping a wreckers label on him because he's really "epic" and "badass"

 

Wow, this is a loaded question. I am surprised there isn't more Roberts hate here because my top 5 to top 10 would all be his interpretation of characters. LOL Sigh, the curse of being a completionist!!!!

Let's take a popular and original character from the original franchise and change EVERYTHING about his personality.


At least Bayformer Wheeljack had some Wheeljack-ness to him.


Hasbro probably did this to Wheeljack because he was a marketable character.


If you're going to make ANYONE a wrecker, please, don't ignore G1 Warpath.


TFP had the opportunity to revive older characters and yet they squandered it.

And, to be honest, I really like TFP.

 

When it comes to Comicbook interpretations of characters. Roberts characters wouldn't even be in my bottom 200 (I get that Star Saber isn't like Japan's G1 but I hated that to, so oh well). Barber's Pyra Magna, Arcee and Bumblebee might be but not before 99% of the portrayals under Bay-formers, Japan G1 and TF Prime.

Don't know about the rest but I agree with on Sunbrow Wheelie and Sunbrow Rodimus Prime. G1 cartoon Roddie could've been so much better. So glad that the other Rodimus aren't like that. However some of his lines are funny, so I don't hate him that much. In Burden Hardest to Bear he did mature. I hated when they had OP took his place. It made that episode pointless and totally mess up Rodimus. I don't like Sunbrow RP and even I think it was unfair that they did that to him. Optimus should've been a mentor.

 

In no particular order...

1. Rattrap. Horrible design. Horrible personality. Horrible voice.

2. Prime Bulkhead. Looks like he should be in Robots not Transformers. Annoying voice. Lacking the likability of his Animated self.

3. RID Grimlock. I hate deliberately written, trying to be funny, stupid characters like Ralph Wiggum or Peter Griffin.

4. Energon Ironhide. Joint worst voice with...

5. Titans Return Menasor. My all time favourite Combiner but the god awful voice actor they gave him had me cringe everytime he was on screen. Why couldn't they use his Devestation voice actor? The toy is crap compared to the Fansproject version.

6. Windblade? Where on the fan vote did it say robot geisha? Like Movie Crosshairs, Drift and Hound, I hate the fact she's a Cosplaying alien robot.

7. IDW Tailgate. Annoying as hell and the cutesy design is nothing like the nicely sculpted G1 toy. And he put badass Cyclonus into a romance.

8. G1 Bumblebee. Annoying sidekick.

9. Kup. Horrible robot mode and an overrated cliche that lacks any of the charm of G1 Ironhide.

10. Quickstrike. No redeeming qualities just a violent thug with an annoying voice.

11. Movie Ironhide. Horrible dog face design and an insult to the iconic G1 character.

12. Scalpel. Sod off to Robots!!

13. Energon Jetfire. Accents on alien robots sound corny and are not a substitute for character. Did I mention I hate faceplates?

14. Lockdown. Overrated and terribly voiced considering he was one of the main villains in the movies.

15. IDW Starscream. Boring and predictable. His voices in Devestation and Combiner Wars were badly acted.

16. Alpha Trion. Stupid cliche, horrible design and a symbol of everything wrong with the G1 cartoon.

17. Orion Pax. Stupid name. Asshole character. Him becoming Optimus Prime was as believable as Jake Lloyd's Anakin Skywalker becoming Darth Vader.

18. Anode. We couldn't have gotten one of the dozens of lesser known G1/2 characters to fill her role and get the spotlight on a lesser known character like was done successfully with Swerve and Whirl?

19. Pharma. Boring one dimensional villain.

20. Wheeljack. Overrated, annoying knowall scientist type. If I had a 21 and 22, Perceptor and Jetfire would be here for the same reasons.

 

Finally! Someone agreed with me on Windblade design! I believe that it's possible to make her look like a female or have curves, but still look like a transformer. TFA Slipstream is a good example on how should Windblade should look. Sure she will still look like a woman with kibbles, but the mechs look like men with kibbles too then it shouldn't be a problem.

 

Can't say I actually hate any Transformers, but I do recall disliking most of the G1 season 1 minibots.

 

When I think "transformers" I think figures so, it would just be a list of random 20 G1 bricks. They are pretty much all the same and all awful.
Otherwise it would have to be the 84/85 cast. They've been done to death. Masterpiece, CHUG, Prime Wars, war for/fall of cybertron, etc... sure I like jazz, mirage, prowl, sunstreaker and sideswipe but for the love of God can we move on, please.
