They simply knew since we talk about Bumblebees... they keep making bumblebees. And it all started when a LARGE group of people wanted the first movie bumblebee toy that had the modern camaro.
Not really. Nothing too ironic about punching someone with those. But because he's assaulting people with the police force's motto, it's more twisted. Y'know, you posted this in the other thread, and and wasn't anymore convincing there. That doesn't really look like Bumblebee. The details and proportions are way off, only the heads are similar. (but really, since BB has a new, more sharp and angular head design, even that's not true)
Especially twisted now...(but we won't delve any deeper in that pool) Bay started that by having the 'cop' being the bad guy in the first movie, at least be consistent, Barricade's a Con, not likely to serve and protect. So that's either gotta be from 'Prowl' renderings anyway and for fighting bots, not humans.
You really don't get the irony of beating people with the word "protect?" He's not protecting or serving anyone, he's doing the exact opposite. I never would have considered the Bay movies too subtle for people, but again I'm legitimately shocked so few have figured out the gag. :/ You pointed out yourself the irony of a cop car being a bad guy, but not putting the cop mantra on brass knuckles? "Protect and serve" is the police force motto, and he is using that motto to hurt people. The exact opposite meaning of the phrase. Which is exactly like him being a cop car and a murdering villain, the exact opposite of a police force.
I get it and love it SPLIT! It's one of the many details I love about this design. Now whether we the audience actually see him make "SERVE" and "PROTECT" indentations in Autobots is up in the air, but I certainly hope so.
I really hope so, but that would involve actual clear focus on details mid-battle which I'm not too sure is something we'll ever see in these movies, but it's the thought that counts. And there was a lot of thought put into this design.
Maybe Michael Bay will have a shot of the Sun glaring over his brass knuckles so we can see them clearly lol
Yeah, I'm gonna get all worked up about irony (or not) in a movie. Not. I'm well aware of the Police motto... and he's not likely to be "hurting people".. he'll be used to fight Autobots or other 'beings' in TF5. That Ironic theme was worn out in the first movie... we all get it, he's not a good cop. Duh. Not to worry tho, doubtful he'll last very long anyway. All the Bee clones will die.
Maybe he'll actually treat Barricade like a character and give him dialogue and in-focus close-ups of his various gear and shit to establish his personality as a villain ironically co-opting the police persona to develope his sadistic persona? .... Sorry, sorry.
Even with the color change, he literally looks nothing like Bumblebee. Lots of blind people in this thread.
That was a possibility that I had come to. I am not so sure any more though, as it was pointed out to me that Barricade has been seen everywhere that Bee has in locations globally. Photo and video evidence seems to suggests he is going to be in quite a bit of the movie, at least.
