I might actually go back to this game once Sektor/Cyrax/Smoke? is out. Alien is exciting too, hope it's not too heavily Baraka based though.

LOL, what a joke. Alien? Eh, ok, Predator and all. But who the hell asked for Leatherface? Or Bo Rai Cho? Plenty of actual MK characters to choose from but nah, let's go with another guest character NO ONE ever asked for, and the MK joke character who's specials are farting and vomiting all over the place. They're just trolling the shit out of fans at this point. Tri-Borg looks cool, I'll give'em that. The grey mode/variation can't be Cyber Smoke though. Smoke never got cyber-ized in the new continuity. So no CS to steal or assimilate from. Sub-Zero did though, so it's plausible his old cyber body is laying around somewhere. Yeah that should mean Tri's 3rd mode would be blue, but hell who knows. If it is Cyber Smoke, then NRS is just straight making shit up now, continuity be damned.
Welcome back, Master Bo Rai Cho. Bo Rai Cho has been a favorite of mine since Deadly Alliance. plus my body shape, facial hair and long hair of mine make a very accurate cosplay. Leatherface makes me curious on how he can be used. the xenomorph... the things that came out of its arms... too baraka like. the cyborg has me boggled.
Secretcode, all I ever wanted was the chance to make Cassie Cage punch a Xenomorph in the xenogroin. You must see why I had to betray you. Man, Ermac chose a bad day for a moonlit stroll. And poor Baraka, dude gets no breaks in this game. At least his unholy death-spawn will carry on his legacy. A Tarkatan-Xeno, nice way to homage Baraka whilst raking in that sweet horror movie moneys. Yeah, I'm looking forward to Cyborg and Xeno. The other two can fuck off, but robots and aliens are sweet. Intro quotes would enlighten us as to what the true nature of this fucker is. If it is Smoke, he'll probably talk with Shinnok/Quan Chi how he escaped after they died and rebooted the cyber-ninja-tech or some shit, or do what that Raiden mirror intro did and imply he's from another timeline. Fuck if I know, I'm just glad to have cyborgs. I'd swap out him and Bo for Fujin and Sareena, personally. Ah well. Plot twist; the horror movie characters popping up are secretly testing the waters for the idea of a dedicated horror icon fighting game.
I got a prediction that the Alien's ending will be Outworld being infested with different breeds of Xenomorphs including some Elder God Xenos.
Looking forward to see how certainly Fatalities work on Xeno, particularly the one where Raiden pops out the sucker's eyes when this thing don't even have eyes.
I regret not picking this game up for $25 at Walmart on Black Friday. With all the other games I bought, I probably wouldn't have time to play it anyway.
I only care about Tri-Borg and the Xenomorph. Bo Rai Cho and Leatherface hardly interest me, but I'll use 'em. I wish they would've given us people like Rain, Sindel, or Baraka.
I've been doing some snooping around, and it seems the word is that Tri-Borg is a new character with intro quotes designed for himself rather than Sektor/Cyrax. Theory is that it's a back-up unit, designed to move in and assimilate the data of high-ranking fallen cyborgs in order to preserve their skills and create the most badass robot of all. Trailer seems to back this up, with Sektor having activated and summoned Tri-Borg to liberate and mimic him. So, looks like this isn't Cyber-Smoke, but simply a look-a-like wink to those who remember the smoky robot. Whether this will lead to Tri-Borg becoming the new cyborg representative for future MK games, or paving the way for Sektor and such to be revived, is yet to be seen. Oh, and as of the Game Awards 2015, MKX has won the title of Best Fighting Game of the Year.
More good news; Ed Boon has confirmed that new costumes are coming for our new characters, likely in coalition with KP2. The Kombat Kids and the Kotal Krew get some new drapes at last! I'd suspect that Alien brings a movie-themed pack ala Predator, maybe with Cassie and Sonya cosplaying as Amanda/Ellen Ripley and Kung Jin screaming: "Game over man!", while Leatherface will probably also have a movie-esque style. And then Bo Rai Cho, I'd figure Klassic costumes (hopefully Tanya/Tremor/Shinnok), and Tri-Borg likely bringing a cyber-themed costume pack. ESL Mortal Kombat X Pro League Season 2 finals get fatal on January 24th | ESLGaming Come January time, we gonna have another MKX tournament, and when it comes, it'll bring a new Kombat Kast that'll go over one or more of the KP2 characters (hopefully Tri-Borg or Not-Baraka).
