You're doing better than I am, Praxus07. Just at 6 Megatron TM2 cores so far for me despite taking every opportunity to do a 3-cube battle when a bot team featuring 1 or 2 of him shows up. I guess DeNA really wants us to go Space Bridge (ha!) or just roll our sleeves up and grind harder  

You technically only need to farm 15 of his cores if you're in a Top 500 league for all mini-events this week (which rewards 35 cores or 10 + 10 + 10 + 5) so you're halfway there  

New bots will last or prove useful because of their high HP. I've seen several live players sporting Dinobot TM2 already - mostly in all-defense team line ups like yours - where Dinobot goes up to 181 HP in the opening round. So a very good chance he doesn't die even if he becomes a victim of ghost targeting (where every enemy bot hits him without any Target 1 or 2 used)  

 

Since the last post I've gotten zero cores, though not for lack of trying. I'm alternating between bot matches when he pops up, and pvp, and nothing is dropping.

But, having huge phantom targeting issues. Seems like just about every live battle today (the past 24 hours really) has had my team wiped out by phantom targeting. When battle after battle it's the same thing, it's not just coincidence. All four opponents bots mysteriously target one of mine, it's just ridiculous. I'm lucky if two of my bots hits the same one of theirs, yet all four hit mine by coincidence...bull on coincidence... good thing ranking isn't a huge concern right now. It"s extremely frustrating though.

Subday night edit...Aaaand yup, several live battles later, all losses due to phantom targeting. This game is so broken...

Monday edit...Today it's even worse, the whole phantom targeting thing. Have not won one live match so far because on round one I keep getting hit with it. It's not even random anymore, if I get a live battle it happens. Once is random, twice a coincidence, three times in a row it's broken coding.

 

So, is energon not recharging anymore? I swear mine has not been going up overnight like it used to. Maybe it is even slower than before?

 

Mine is recharging at the same rate, but it looks like they stopped giving us the 15 cubes daily

 

Mine just keeps showing playback errors every time I try to play the video ad for the free energon. And then get no energon.

 

Maybe that is what I meant by recharging. I thought it automatically rebuilt itself throughout the day. I didn't realize they used to give us an allowance and now took it away.

 

Energon recharges for free at 1 cube per 30 minutes but you can only keep a maximum of 5 cubes this way. The trick to maximize free energon and EP during events is to play 3-cube battles every 1.5 - 2 hours (an under rated skill, IMHO).

Yes, DeNA decided to stop giving free 15 cubes per event day (I actually thought they would have done this sooner) - so this explains why EP averages have also plummeted. However, from what I'm seeing, most players can still finish Top 2500 in the mini events by just using free energon (including what you can get for free by watching the ads).

 

That explains why I have gotten nothing for the past couple days then. I will have to start watching the ads.

 

Agreed I was shocked the free 15 cubes lasted as long as it did... hoping to be able to grab enough cores for Megatron.... but so far doing well for the epics... I tried using dinobot... but didn't work too well, gonna hafta fiddle with a team...

 

Where's the extra 5 come in? I actually did this, farmed 15 and got 30 cores over the course of the 3 events for being too 500 league... But here we are the end of the event and I only have 45 cores... I'm counting on this magical 5 cores, how are they obtained?

 

the single day playoff event yielded the other 5 cores in the past event. seems everyone is expecting the same

Yep. Scoring in a high enough tier hasn't been a problem. But the loss of that extra energon HAS made it a lot harder to get cores. Haven't gotten a single random-drop TMII Megatron core YET!

 

The next event is called Scary Smart. It's a Stronghold event, plus it'll be a Halloween update. The event characters are Perceptor [G1], Highbrow [G1], and Perceptor [Gen], plus the rewards for Stronghold will be improved for all players.

Me. Got some Energon out of that. You get them by beating the event characters. Those characters being Perceptor [G1], Highbrow [G1], and Perceptor [Gen].

 

Got a Highbrow, sucks that its just one drop

 

and in typical dena fashion.. it doesn't work properly... I used one ticket it shows I have 4..... but is telling me I don't have enough gold........ faiiiiillll!!!

 

For Halloween tickets, you need to collect at least 4 to use them. Check your resources and you will see how many you have. I think these are mainly for newbie players who cannot get to Extra Hard or don't have a lot of gold. I would assume the odds are less than the normal space bridge.

Also, I've been informed by one of my league mates that the gold reward in Extra Hard has been reduced from 100 to 10. Big blow to F2P...
