I'm not sure if this has been brought up yet, but the actual shoulder joints look a bit low. He may suffer from the same issue as Combiner Wars Megatron, where when you rotate his arm it just looks weird. I really hope not.

Wow, forward movement? Totally solves the problem of MP-9 who had kinda limited shoulder articulation, this new Hot Rod actually looks like he might be better articulated than MP-9 (apart from a possible lack of ankle tilt?)? That's really impressive, really can't wait to see him in a sitting and cross-legged position!

I think MP-9 and Tracks suggest we'll get black outlining to the flames on his chest. I must say I was surprised to see it on Tracks expecting a more 'real world' take on the deco.

 

Yeah I think he'll have the pinstripes as well, which I'm glad about as I think it will make the flames "pop" more, especially given the low contrast between the yellow flames and red chest

 

Nah I think he definitely has ankle tilts, those feet can prob move out a bit and angle. I like how his foot meshes with his boot, unlike MP-09 where his foot is a bit lower and looks more like a separate foot than a "boot" if that makes any sense. If MP Megatron ever comes out I hope they do the same thing with him

Good catch, Sam! More posing possibilities are always exciting   I'm just hoping he's able to bend his lower legs back 45 degrees like MP-09.

Good point about the pinstripes. I think that's the way to go, too.

MP-09's feet can look like part of the boots or detached depending on how one articulates his fiddly ankles, meaning they can be extended or folded up. Check it...

 

I think I want it. Could you add the black outline to the flames? And maybe a different version with light blueish headlights? And maybe a third version with light blueish on his skirt like on the animation model?

Oh yeah I definitely misremembered that. The feet actually do mesh into his "boot" really well, especially on the TT version where both parts are black.

Yeah I totally see them doing chrome for Hot Rod. I was just concerned that maybe at the carbot price point they weren't putting chrome on them. I am not bothered by the backpack at all either. Nor am I bothered by the buttflap or the ass tires or hip kibble. I love these figures!  

I'm not sure how the Magenta will look. No one has digibashed it yet and all I keep seeing is these awesome red and orange pics. Which screams Hot Rod to me. So I would have to see a comparison to see how I'd feel about Magenta. Anyone want to digibash that?

Nuts. I was hoping for a re-release of V2 of MP-09 Rodiums, as I missed him last time around. Guess I'm gonna have to pay exorbitant after-market prices...

 

Or an alternate Prowl head that's burned up from the inside.
Do a screaming face with light piping for his eyes and mouth.
