No one wants to take the trip to get a Welker Autograph?

This group needs to go on a field trip! We can all chip in on a hotel suite and party a little that weekend!

So the original location I planned on in Newington fell through last night... Anyone have suggestions around the Hartford county area?

 

Maybe try Retro games plus in Newington because they host video game trading events there so they would be used to it

 

Ironically that's the venue I mentioned. Talked to the owner and he sounded interested at first but would rather only have us come to the video game Swap meet in Orange (which is pretty far out of the way for some people, including myself).

 

Manchester Marshalls has Battle Masters Fight Night Optimus Prime vs Megatron Battle Set with weapons, AoE Power Punch Bumblebee, AoE Construct-Bots Dinobots Scorn and Generations Voyager Roadbuster.

Manchester Target has Generations CW Deluxe Offroad, Breakdown, Dead End, Air Raid and Alpha Bravo, Generations CW Legends Huffer, Bombshell, Windcharger and Thundercracker, RID Deluxe Grimlock and Drift, and RID Legion Grimlock.

Manchester ToysRUs has RID Legion Fixit and Underbite, and RID One Step Changers Thunderhoof, Fracture and Drift.

 

Is torrington too far out of the way? Down by the river is a retro game/comic book/collectible store that recently moved to a new venue and is looking for more traffic their way. I know the owners and they are the most laid back people ive ever met, hell they hold monthly tournaments for games like super smash bros. The place is big, has 2 floors and parking is free after 6pm out front (there is rear parking but im not sure the situation as of yet as they are trying to work something out with the land lord).

 

That's only about 40 minutes away, which isn't too bad for me. It sounds like a nice venue.

Ok, before we set that location or ask yet, I have one other potential spot in Berlin at a small comic shop. It'd be great if you guys could post which would be more convienent for you- either Torrington or Berlin.

 

Berlin for me is about 30 minutes away, Torrington would be at least a hour drive. Toy vault in waterford has a cyclonus voyager and both jazz and sideswipe from rid. Had a hotspot but he came home with me

 

Berlin is best for me, but its a mute point since i'll drive anywhere and could give a ride to someone.

Dave and busters in Manchester could also be cool to grab a drink and play some arcade games.


I do have alot of concerts coming up but thats the only thing that would stop me from attending

 

Berlin is 45 mins from me, Torrington is 30. So either is fine w me.

 

Well DBTR can get discounted food + drink if enough people attend aswell as have several stations to play retro/new games again im not trying to push my opinion on anyone but all I have to say is good people work there and could really use the boost we could give as there arent many mom and pop places like this around.

 

I wasn't trying to take away from your suggestion either; I figured as long as we had several options it'd be great to ask others which would be easier for them, so we could get the most amount of people. The place I mentioned is also also a local mom and pop store as well, haha.

I think once we get a few more opinions in we can hopefully work together and set a location. If everyone is fine with Torrington, why not give it a call and see what you can do, haha.

What is DBTR? Either Berlin or Torrington is fine with me. However, I have plans during summer that might stop me from attending.
