The only things i'm liking about this new show are Will Friedle and Optimus spirit journey.

I'm excited because for the first time in a good while its an almost entirely original "main cast" (Bee, but no typical Prime/Ratchet/Bulkhead etc. we've been getting for the last half decade). and the villains all seem to be "new", and not the usual Megs/Screamer/Soundwave retread.

 

Strongarm is staunchly dedicated to her career in law enforcement and can’t imagine a world where everyone doesn’t follow the “letter” of the law (i.e., THE RULES). STRONGARM is completely earnest and possesses a world-view devoid of shades of grey. Exposing Strongarm to any criminal behavior instantly flips the switch that activates her righteous sense of justice, wherein she becomes a single minded, unstoppable zero-tolerance machine! Becoming a member of ’Bee’s supreme team is a dream come true and she’ll do everything in her power not to disappoint him. Her personal growth as a ’Bot will be explored throughout this series. Sometimes it’s hard to let go of protocol, but on Earth, she’ll have to learn to bend a little more because not everything is so easy and cut-and-dry. V-mode: Police SUV.

Thats what I am basing this on, this one i dont hate just tired of seeing this type of character around. the one that always follows the rules but throughout the series will calm down. plus I used the term lawgirl cause shes a female and calling her a lawman just sounded weird to me.

 

for the grimlock thing i have nothing against a black voice actor,( don't even know who voices him) I'm mainly upset they are turning him into the im not a con but no one trust me cause of my alt mode. thats also what I meant as token black guy the character who has to prove himself because the color of his skin even thou his team mates aren't racist. for me thats not grimlock, grimlock to me has always been this bad ass who didnt care, if he was locked up it was not due to prejudiced it was cause he did it. I may be wrong he may badass from the getgo and I will be happy but from the bio they released I am not getting that. has nothing to do with voice actors has to do where they may take this character

That one was pretty good. I'll admit I used the word token too often. for strongarm I just couldn't think of anything to refer to her character typeing as.

Yeah I don't see the issue with Khary Payton voicing Grimlock people are having.

 

For me, It's not about what tropes are used. It's "How are they going to be used?".

I want to see the show.

On Grimlock:He does have black head armor, so I guess he's the token black bot.

No, the guy who does Cyborg on Teen Titans is Grimlock. He was at the NYCC RiD panel, we know for a fact it's him, not that guy.

Also, I love Grimlock's new incarnation. It like it a whole lot more than the "Me Grimlock" version.

 

Sorry to interrupt but I want to ask a question. I'm kind of dabbling with a Prime/Align rewrite and I was wondering if anyone thought Strongarm would make a good Wrecker. I know she's described as being in the Elite Guard but I just thought of Roadbuster (Pre-War) looking at a clumsy cadet Strongarm while huffing "Rookies..."

That or maybe she and Roadbuster have some sort of unofficial rivalry (she thinks there is and Roadbuster doesn't)? IDK, just figured I'd get this off my chest and ask. :/

 

Who are you asking? She's appeared in exactly ZERO episodes of anything so far. None of us know any more than you do about her.

 

I know that. I'm just brainstorming is all. When the show comes out and we see her in action I'll reevaluate my question. I'm just asking based on current information is all. Although if it's going to be a problem, then my apologies for asking.

 

We honestly have enough focus on Wreckers. Every episode with Wheeljack in it had the word Wrecker crop up at least once.

I'd stick with the Elite Guard reguardless.

I am excited about Grimlock and the new decepticons but i could care less about Bumblebee, Strongarm, Fix it, and Sideswipe (his design makes me hate him as a character already)

 

The only character I'm interested in so far is Strongarm, and only because they finally decided to create a fembot without trying to give her a "sexy" body type. The lack of pandering is kind of refreshing.

 

^Same. I'm just glad she ain't a bike at the very least.  

 

I don't expect it to be great, but I think it will at least be mildy entertaining. Could be very good
