I personally don't think that'd be a good idea. One of the things I like about Transformers is how different the character designs are between lines - if it was all Movieverse-styled, it'd get old pretty fast. I'd feel the same with any artstyle, although I definitely wouldn't mind seeing some new TFA stuff  

 

Animated Show detailing the war on Cybertron owing a lot to Game of Thrones, focusing on the political struggles and a secondary group of Autobots-Prime shows up like once or twice a season, they're really a background focus. I'd love that shit.

Ok so lets forget the CGI. Would anyone like to see a movie style TFs cartooned style cartoon? More in the animation style as a Gundam Wing and the likes?

 

With the emphasis on humans, a Transformers focusing on the Transformers would be like the Movieverse's answer to Agents of SHIELD.

 

The live action wouldn't even need to involve Transformers actually. It could just be about the good humans and bad humans (whatever each group is called) hunting down Cybertronian artifacts and stuff. Maybe even have something like Circuit Breaker here and there.

You just described Agents of SHIELD.

Good agents and Hydra Agents hunting down things/superhero things, with a little Deathlok here and there.

 

It would be a rip off of Shield in a lot of ways, but so what? TV is a copy cat business and the TF angle would be enough to separate it. I'd green light it.

I think if they ever did a spin off series for the movies, they need to do it based off of a Autobot unit that are a bunch of no names and maybe even series created Autobots that are created specifically for the series. And then have some of the well know bots like OP, Bee and a few other show up here and there to help out in a few episodes before moving on to other things somewhere else in the world.

 

We're not ready for a live action Transformers show.

As admirable as it sounds, its just too expensive.

Maybe in 10 or so years...maybe once CGI becomes cheaper.

 

By then, talks of reboots or maybe even a full-blown reboot would be happening.

What you said about Marvel and D.C. giving lesser characters tv shows and how Transformers should do this. Marvel announced an exclusive series for Netflix in 2015 focusing on the movie universe with lesser characters. Like mini-movies for a bunch of characters. The first is Daredevil. I think if maybe Transformers did something like that, like little mini-movies with origins/how they came to in their factions or what the different characters did after DOTM. Well, that would be amazing! So I agree it could be a good idea. But it would be really expensive.

 

I had an idea borrowed from the Dreamwave comics. A squad of humans augmented with Transformer tech get sent on a bunch of missions around the world. Maybe fighting MECH or a similar organization with Transformer stuff going on in the background. Oh, and their code names are the same as the Baldwin brothers.
