I seriously doubt there'll be anything more than the Beast Wars stuff & the mooted Prime V3 on show, tbh. Trailbreaker77's brace yourself meme is probably alluding just to that.  

Best case scenario, I'd personally love to see Blaster or Astrotrain at this point, if not something out of left field from the movie like Gnaw (yes, I know, but I love him...  )

MP36 aside, the realist in me knows that when all the stars align and new moulds actually DO happen these days, it's usually a character I have next to no interest in: so Hoist, Arcee or Beachcomber is doubtless warming up at the starter blocks as we speak!    

 

I wouldn't be surprised if Prime isn't released until next spring sometime. It'd be a much longer window than usual, but they're will be a lot of hype around this release.

 

That would definitely be unusual for a G1 release. When was Dinobot first teased? When was his prototype first fully revealed? Thing with Primev3 is that even though we haven't gotten a full reveal yet, we've seen snippets of his prototype so we know he's fairly far along.

 

The one thing there is that he might be pretty much complete if they have some intentions of timing V3 to an anniversary month/window, etc. They could reveal him and one other now who's planned for late-spring/early summer, and then have Prime come out for the end of year or something. It'd be unusual, but event releases tend to bend the normal rules.

 

Naw, they laid a G1 doughnut this year, a whole year and some change since the last new mold, there's not that much more hype to build. I'll be disappointed if Prime is anything past March, due to them laying that doughnut this year. I'm still hoping he gets his own designation so we get back to back new molds with him and somebody else at 44. The problems comes if they are intent on alternating. If toy Megatron is going to be a TTMall exclusive, it takes a lot of convincing to believe that Megatron/Dinobot repaints will sell well enough to be numbered releases and doubt they would get many takers as Mall exclusives.

 

I would love an MP Femmebot........that isn't Arcee.
Just my opinion, but I think she is both overused and overrated.

I would like to see an MP of a far more deserving and FAR more important femmebot, like Elita One. You know, the COMMANDER of the femmebots.

There's also Chromia or hey, Solus Prime.

Plenty of other kickass and woefully underappreciated Femmes besides arcee.

 

Like Arcee or not, she's the only G1 ladybot who has a shot of getting her own MP (Roadrage style remolds not withstanding). Expecting unique MP molds of any of the three who appeared in one episode, The Search for Alpha Trion, is pretty unrealistic at this point. Personally, after Prime v3 I'd take Arcee before nearly every other Autobot. Dying for more Movie/s3/Headmasters representation here, plus she would be incredibly unique on the shelf.

 

I'm betting on Blackarachnia getting an MP figure before Arcee~

MP-1 was supposed to be ready for the 20th anniversary, but TT ended up releasing him earlier (December 2003).
I don't see why they won't have Prime3 ready for January.

Ironhide was shown at TTS and only released in January. I just wonder if they'll go full colour with Prime3 or only show a grey-painted prototype.



Am definitely down for Arcee or Kup, some more Cybertron designs would be great at this point. I hope 2019 really surprises us.

 

I think these things take time. I assume TT don't want an embarrassing blunder like that Encore Fire Convoy, especially not with their new ultimate version of their flagship character.

My estimate is a late Q1 or early Q2 2019 release, similar to Megatron.

 

Prime to NOT be the biggest surprise in the show.

It's be cool (pun intended) if MP Jetfire came in a blue plastic tray/clamshell to simulate being frozen.

 

Also, profits from anything the Bumblebee movie has to offer will be fizzling out so that would mark a pretty good time to drop something like a V3 Prime to keep cash flow going.
