Because why NOT track down a rare and expensive upgrade kit for God Ginrai before he's rendered obsolete? And a gun megatron too because I love gun megs...

Seriously though, I understand… In a perfect world, I’d have 2 LG-EX, 1 for God Ginrai, the other so Ginrai and Godbomber would be displayed as well. And of course God Ginrai would need the upgrade kits… The ONLY thing preventing me from spiraling down that hole is the hope of a new one (or even a reissue) popping up soon. If not, I’ll be applying for membership into your crisis club.

 

Finally got my Fortress KO. Really glad to have this one for the pending reissue of Fort Max

 

Paid a pretty penny for Doubledealer, his Powermasters and his upgrade set together. Another figure I wish I'd invested in back in 2020.

BB CA Sunstreaker just came home, purchased from a local comrade collector.

I had spotted one in store last week but hesitated and couldn't remember where, but his ad came up just in time so saved me from hunting another one down.

First impressions: it's a great looking figure. Hasbro managed to match the painted and plastic yellows much better than the ER version, but as Origin BB I expect degradation in a bit of time. I'm hoping to be wrong.

Robot mode has good articulation but he's so smallish that it ends up hampering the range. The worst I can really see is his firearms being very empty, which I attributed to the transformation but sadly it's not and just cheaply done. Wrist rotation could have and should have been provided. Aside that, the torse and legs are well filled and it's a solid figure overall.

Transformation was easily figured out without using any instructions even though there is a fair number of steps, they are easily obvious.

Car mode looks great! It's a solid race car that snaps together well, and the hidden very thin wheels (made of transparent plastic) spin just fine but clearance is as been with almost all cars since ER, so small (seems less than 1mm) that it will roll on perfectly flat surfaces only. The weapons storage on the car looks great and planned for as they fit the car's design and follows it's lines well. The worst aside the clearance is the worry about the paint and plastic as while it's matching to a fair level, it still sticks out enough to seem like the car got a repair job for the windshield and the new part couldn't be obtained in a perfect match colour. But still, putting that aside I really do like the car mode.

So he is still a great addition to my collection as I like to have a Cybertronian and Earthmode version of the figures and this provides us with a very acceptable Sunstreaker.
