I want to get a Beast Wars Optimus Primal and Megatron.......but there are so many kinds and I cant tell the difference!!!!

I want a show accuate BW line to display and have decided to go with JBW-2007 for the season one figs...but ops and megs????

-JBW 2007 - Convoy (Optimus Primal) (small version/mold?)
    -JBW 2007 - Megatron (small version/mold?)

-TM-SP DX - Prime and Megs

    -BWR-01 Optimus vs Megatron Giftset

    - Optimus Primal Vs. Megatron - Beast Wars 10th Anniversary (Toys R Us Exclusive)

do different versions of megs come with a hand that can hold the tail weapons verses the springy, plunger thing?

what other differences do they have?

    am soooo confused!!!!!!!!

only the robot masters version of the first T-Rex Megatron has a hand.

I reccomend the TRU set, it's cheap, and the figures are the same as the japanese set that goes for 100+

If you refer to Transformers toys by abbreviations and production numbers over their actual names...

...you might be a Transformers fanatic.

so are the paint jobs any different between them? are the JBW-2007 the only small (robomasters mold) ones? which is more show accurate? where do I find the TRU set?

I have the TRU set and I think its the best representation of the characters. Megatron and Primals headsculpts alone are worth the price of the set!

TM-SP DX - Convoy is my favorite Munkeybot but he looks more like Optimus Prime in a gorilla suit than he does Optimus Primal.

Definitely the BWX Optimus Primal vs. Megatron. Either Hasbro or Takara, they're virtually the same.

Though honestly, any of the Optimus Primal/ Megatron II toys are great. BW was overall a fantastic toyline, so you can't go wrong with any version of the leaders. :thumbs2:

Both the TM-SP DX - Prime and Megs. it's definitely worth the money. one of the better BW repaints (anime-accurate) around IMO.

Either the BWR-01 set, or teh TRU "exclusive" version of the same set. The TRU version is going to be cheaper. Probably the best version of both toys... though the newer Takara release has Megatron coloured better.
