Well 5 Dinobots will be needed for something hopefully not shooting down Decepti-ships and one bounty hunter.
Im sorry but those could be two different scenes. Im not saying your theory is wrong. Im just saying that those shots are not confirmed to be in order. The point is - we dont know Edit: yeah I just rewatched. There are multiple shots of them driving, with that being shown along with a few others. That scene is shown in a montage of a few driving scenes at the end of the trailer we saw. And in that article, it only mentions Optimus arriving to do battle with Lockdown. It never says the Autobots are there, or that Optimus arrived with the Autobots. The scene of Optimus driving with Drift isn't even mentioned. Here's the description of that scene from the article you linked: "The next sequence began with Optimus Prime doing battle with Galvatron on an open stretch of road, with Cade, Tessa and Shane at their feet trying not to get squashed by the giant robots. It’s revealed that Galvatron is actually a remote-controlled Transformer (being manipulated from a control room by Stanley Tucci’s character and a random guy) who was presumably created so that humans would have a weapon against a future alien invasion. While Cade and Shane are able to get to safety, Tessa gets caught in the middle of the fray and can’t escape, eventually hiding in a parked car. The scene gets interrupted as a rocket slams into Optimus, knocking him back. We then see where the shot came from: Lockdown, another Transformer, is walking down the road with a giant spaceship behind him. Lockdown’s face turns into an absolutely massive gun and Optimus is once again hit by a blast, this time knocking him on top of the car Tessa is in. As the new threats come closer, Lockdown gets back into the ship a tiny vehicle comes flying off of the big one, throwing down a net that captures both Optimus Prime and the car he is lying on. Cade sprints towards the ship and leaps to grab the netting, trying to free his daughter. His attempts are in vain, however, as he is unable to hold on and the aliens fly away. In frustration, Cade slams his fist on the ground in slow motion." The idea that the scene of Optimus/Drift happens before the capture is an assumption, not confirmed. A really good assumption, but not confirmed at all.
Just a thought - but what if they have constantly been using the name Cyclonus as a place holder in order to get us to not think that he'll ever have his own character - then reveal him as the one who took out the bounty on Optimus after Megatron's death - setting him up as a villain for TF5. This sets him up as a loyal second-in-command for Galvatron - considering he was the only Decepticon to avenge Megatron's death in some form. It also starts building him up as a villain for the next film so possibly have him as a main villain on Earth while Optimus is chasing Galvatron. I mean at the moment the only true Decepticons we have is Lockdown - with Galvatron, Stinger and the rest of the car-decepticons being created by Humans... so not sure what to think but we definitely need at least one other main Decepticon. Same True - but I get the feeling we'll see Drift break out Optimus by posing as a Decepticon or something along those lines. Theirs definitely a stealth break-out scene that involves Cade and Shane along with some Transformers on-board Lockdown's ship. Drift seems the only one capable of getting them in silently given his former Decepticon status.
Megatron could be the main villain, slowly getting control of Galvatron, or manipulating orders given to these U.S. agents, like he would in Animated.
Energon Waffles laid it out nicely. I'm sorry kjeevahh, I'm not trying to be rude. You may very well end up being correct. But we have to keep in mind the magic of editing and know that the sequence of events may very well be different in the final film.
I do get where you're coming from.. but yes, we do know. Read some of the other reports of the footage, they all report it as being one sequence. The sequence was filmed on a road near Adrian, Michican. Between the treeline, the green fields to one side, and the yellow area to the other, it's pretty distinctive. The main bit that onlookers got footage of was optimus Vs galvatron, but all of the other autobots were present, and lockdown too. Here are lockdown and drift on that same bit of road that prime and galvatron fight on:
What if the villain turns out to be someone posing as Drift, who is also captive aboard Lockdown's ship? It could explain the voyager figure as a quad changer akin to animated Shockwave/Longarm perhaps, with the con's alt mode as the helicopter? No idea who it could be, although Makeshift did pretty much the same thing in TFP...
It certainly won't be drift, decepticon who has defected to autobots but is actually still a decepticon would be a pretty lame 'ancient evil awakened' reveal.
Do you have any of the other reports? I havent seen those yet in that case and would really like to see those haha Oh, and they often haul all the Autobots around to each set, but I agree that it would be telling to have them out in the open. I doubt they'd expose those cars to the elements unless needed.
If this is true, you would have a villain walking around looking like the Terminator, and Megatron essentially becoming Skynet.
Looking at pics of the AoE characters and I realized I get a strong mountain dew vibe from Crosshairs. Then I remembered a certain soda vending machine brought to life in the first movie. Could Crosshairs in reality be Dispensor? Has he been secretly plotting against mankind for the last 10 years and is now ready to wreak caffeine soaked revenge upon us all?
Halfway through the movie, a single can of Mountain Dew falls out of his trenchcoat. Everybody stops and stars at it, realizing. Yeah, thatd be great XD
The reason I hope my Megatron idea is right, is because I feel like that would restore him to being a credible threat, as opposed to the last two films, where he was servant to the two other main villains, essentially.
