I just saw this on Lego Ideas and thought it would be cool to share with Transformers movie fans. It is an approximately one meter long render of dinobot Grimlock in Lego form, made by Nicksto96. According to the description, this model was made in a program and these images are all renders, so there is no physical model of this.

Why is it described as being 1 meter long if it's just a digital creation?

If it was made in real pieces it would be approximately one meter long.

I'm not sure if it can support its own weight if it was real.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking, too. Maybe if glued together.

Funny and sad that a Lego model looks way better and more accurate than any toy version we got.

Of course it is. It's easy to do when it's not real.

Man I'd love to make a physical model of that. I used to be obsessed with Legos when I was younger.

Said Lego model also doesn't exist or transform.

Nice render, but call me when/IF someone's building it.

For now its length can be measured only in display pixel resolution.

I like the part where everyone shits all over an awesome thing because they're just WAY too cool.

the builder said that stability was taken into account in the design, though I can relate to how stability is easy to lose track of when designing a lego model virtually.

    Edit:
I'm still impressed by the devotion the builder had to the design. I'm pretty sure all the parts have to connect for the model.

Or maybe because the thing does not exist.

It's a virtual Lego 3d design program was used for putting together a theoretically possible model. Theoretically.

Certainly took a lot of patience, but doesn't even remotely equals building the thing.

Actually, it doesn't even equal building from scratch and rigging your own 3d model of AoE Grimlock in 3dmax or Blender.

I guess I forgot to mention that this thing is cool as fuck, but it would be so much more impressive if it were physical.

Absolutely. It's just not fair to compare it to a physical toy that has to transform.
