Yes! Waist articulation seems to me a lost art with voyagers these days. Thanks for the pics!

Can't wait to get it! The only tripple changer I ever owned was Tankor (I believe that was his name)

I have WD already but I have this on preorder and will be selling my WD somewhere down the road. Glad that he's got no QC issues.

Looking pretty good. If I were to get one of these it'd have to be Springer, I think. Neither character interests me but this figure just looks nice. The sword sure is one way of dealing with rotors. I'm holding out for a Battletrap or Blue Bacchus remold, though.

Not that I'd have cash for Springer right now anyway.

Thanks for the pictures. I'm not as blown away with him as most are, but I obviously can't wait to have him in hand to really judge it. I really like how you can't necessarily tell he's a triple changer. Great work Hasbro!

Thanks for the review- really appreciate all the pics. Don't know what you have against ankle tilts though- they really help to get stable and dynamic posing.

Nah, it's just something left over from the debacle with Fansproject's Code. I gotta stop going back to that...

I can't wait until mine arrives!

Springer is my favorite Autobot, so I'm extremely happy that this looks as good as it does. This will be the favorite figure in my collection.

Great review archieboy! Do you have a shot of the back of the helicopter mode? (3/4 view looking toward the front) I want to see what the helicopter kibble looks like from that angle.

    No ankle tilts, you say?

Take it out back and set it on fire! :D

Great review archieboy! I'm glad you're a stickler for plastic quality too. To be honest, Transformers has been quite disappointing in plastic quality and stability lately. Too much cheap plastic, too many loose joints, too many parts that don't lock in place. So you really think Springer beats the other toys we've been getting in build quality?

Eh, no biggie, and I wouldn't hold it against Springer anyways though. I don't really expect it from retail voyagers.

Man, that car mode is sexy and super solid. You would never know that there is a Helicopter in there.

Side profile of that car really gives away the Batmobile Tumbler's vibe. To me, at least.

Thanks man! I don't collect entire lines but I do have a few of the more recent ones. I know it's subjective, but to me he's the best we've gotten build-quality wise since Prime FE, and maybe he's even a bit better than FE Optimus and Bulkhead. If you like how he looks, you won't be disappointed if you get him because he has really, really good build quality.

Nah. I think for Sandstorm, the shoulder wheels would be attached to the shoulder pads to get that VTOL look. With Springer, the shoulder wheels are attached to the shoulder. I may be wrong, but at the moment I can't think of a way to make it work.

But since Springer can't do that mode, that means Sandstorm would have to have some retooling/remolding, which is a good thing. I don't like straight repaints...

EDIT: Looking again at the Sandstorm pic, the wing wheels may come from the ones on Springers legs...

Pardon my ignorance, can someone ID these figs for me? Mostly just the front 3.

The Twintwist and Topspin are these guys. Impactor, probably a custom.

    WAIT! Waitwaitwaitwaitwait! Wait.

Ratchet joints on his legs and knees?!? Woooooooooo!

    Ahem...

His car mode looks a bit gappy near the front and on the roof, but other than that, this guy looks superb! Is there any way to mess around with the yellow bit on the back of his shoulders to make them less obtrusive?

Yup, that Impactor's a custom. I forgot who made it, but the head is from RiD Kup and the chest had some styrene and/or scultping done to it.
