Nope. They aren't told to push anything, except for cables and attachments. They aren't told to push any certain format or brand. It's all opnion-based. I'm sure he was just an HD DVD fan.
I found this response to be very sad, and wish Toshiba would just stop already. HD response to BB and Netflix news... "at least they will continue to carry HD DVD" Seriously? That's all they got? WTF? Just stop, please, I want my Transformer BD this year.
The sooner the better. I'm happy watching TF on my 360 720P download, but I want all the extras and 1080.
Wal-Mart says buh-bye to HD-DVD. http://checkoutblog.com/entries/2008/2/15/wal_mart_chooses_a_hi_def_platform.aspx Toshiba possibly about to drop HD-DVD all together. http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/hr/content_display/news/e3ib77125d96b22e86027d0bfb0c25aa58d
I saw those this morning. A lot going on today. There are still a lot of HD DVD supporters who are holding on the fact that Toshiba is not saying anything official. Obviosly they won't until the last minute. I just wish they would make it official already so we can all move on with life.
and get TF on BR. hahah, we should all go buy a random HD-DVD today and spread the word for your friends and family to do it, and totally give them the false hope that something it tipping in their favor.
I know that these last couple of weeks, when Im at Bestbuy or Circuit city and see a person debating between a HD and BR, I slyly suggest that they get BR. Some of the Best buy guys have given me ugly looks for doing their job.
I've been tempted to print up signs that say "Dead Format" or HD-DVD = Betamax" and put them in the HD-DVD sections sections of any store I go to.
Yeah I was bored a few weeks ago and whipped this up. I know it looks cheap since it was with MS paint, but cheap is appropriate I think.
I dont care who wins. But whoever does win, im not biting till I see a player under $200 from the winner.
