It's been quite a while since I've picked up my brushes, so please be kind! I've been a fan of Swamp Thing for a long time, but I've never bothered to purchase the Kenner toys that were made for the animated show from the early 90's. Thanks to the recent Transformers "drought" and a couple of won eBay auctions, I've managed to collect the entire toy run with quite a few extras as well! What to do with the extras? Repaint them of course! This is the first of my repaints. It is a more traditional version of Swamp Thing with three different greens for the main body and dark brown for the trunks and vines. Red for the eyes and he's done! I used Folk Art Acrylic and Testors Model Master Acrylic paints. I haven't sealed him yet, but I'm thinking a clear coat of Krylon Flat should do the trick! This one was quick and really easy, but I love the way he turned out and I think he'll look great in the collection! An original pic of all of my repainted Swamp Things is included. As always, comments and critiques are appreciated!
Nice, I recently unpacked some old tubs and even though these look great couldn't take a brush to my sucking in arm swampy, still heve the plant trap and the Leach and Bat un-men don't have the Leech guys gun though. I was thinking about how to update those guys with some GI Joe figures and have articualted wings and arms and such, but these are great you are doing, I always wanted the cactus swampy too.
