first off, I Hope this is the right place for this....

I wanted to post some WIP pics of some custom G1 boxes I am working on.
and get some opinions on them

I usually customize the bots themselves, but I need some boxes to display
my loose figures in and so I started to making my own, right now they are
little more than artwork, but when I get some posterboard, and some ink
then I can get to it and make a test print box, I somewhat made one, but
it consisted of gluing printed artwork to an existing misc. box I found for
my Ultra Magnus, but the art for these boxes make that look bad....
below though is my updated artwork for his new box.

Universe / G1 inspired, the Springer box I am trying to find better more modern
    art.

    EDIT:
I have posted pics of the finished boxes, they are prototypes so forgive the
crudeness, I also used way too thick posterboard, and didn't cut Blitzwing's
widow out right...but I am working on perfecting the system. I have aother boxes in the works, but no pics yet

I have posted pics, I actually finished a few prototypes a few months back, and never posted the pics...I know they are rough, but they are my first takes.

first off the posterboard was way too thick, I will use thinner stock next time.
second, I screwed up when I cut out Blitz's window.
and I will clearcoat the finished pieces on the final pieces to preserve the
print, I tried using acrylic clearcoat on the paper and it worked great.

    my post was copied here?

if any confusion, there are no custom figures involved here, just the boxes.

    original post here....

    Ebay:
    not too shabby there.
i don't know if you own the actual toys, but were you planning on cutting out and making the windows in these boxes or keeping them solid?

either way, they look great. may actually like em without windows.

    keep it up.

Very cool boxes. What are you doing for window film? I may be able to help. I have a huge supply of it available to me. PM me if you're interested. We can work something out.

I was using plastic film from other packages, but I do need a small supply of it
when I start doing these after I have perfected them.
