I'm taking a break from the big guy, so I thought I'd work on the mini-me version. Same as the other, I'm including bendable knee joints, articulated hands, swivel head/neck joint, etc.

Comments & critiques are welcome.

 

The knees look great! It looks like all the arms need it a bicep swivel. Are more gundam hands in order?
Can't wait to see them both together! They could go to the park. Or play catch!

 

I've got a pair of gundam hands on the way, but I'll have to wait and see what they look like up close and in comparison. It'll either be that, or Alt hands.

 

The "Hardtop" gun makes a really convincing rifle/tower combo. I think it's more fitting than the original rifle. Gonna paint this guy?

"Mini" Versions? I had no idea. Did they really release a smaller version? Looks great!

Well, it's not an official version. It's a KO, but it's got the same transformation scheme and the detail is very nice for a KO. Only drawback is that the head doesn't transform. I still like it, though.

True, they came out with this three-pack that had a mini-Fort Max, G1 Prime and...Chromedome, I think. This is the FM from that set:



I think the KO version looks a lot better. Only advantage that the "junior" version has is that the head transforms.

 

Looks great! What did you use for Fort Max's Double Barreled Cannon? It looks familiar but I can't place it.

It was from one of the Energon/Cybertron scout figures that was repainted for the 2007 movie line. It's a jet...Air Raid, I think?

while this one is a knockoff, he did ask if there was a mini version released out there, and there was

 

I wasnt aware of the head difference until now... this KO has a rather accurate Fort Max head; but there was a carded KO of the same body that came with a Spike headmaster which took Cerebros' place. I think it was called URANUS 5-in-1 or something to that line. So that one had Spike as Max's head and the main ramp door didnt open. This one here tho looks like its ramp can open. Dunno, but either way this Mini Max is badass.
