I was under the assumption the robot genitalia fad was coming out of China. So its Japan ? Probally inspired by hentai cartoons.

I love this toy, but this shiny deco does nothing for me. I prefer the matte look. I would have however, jumped on a white version, or even a Shattered Ass version...

Um? It's not genitalia, it's armor. Also, uh the figure isn't a person and thus cannot purposefully thrust its genitals, which it does not have, at someone.
(also, leaning back isn't inherently a pelvic thrust, it's just a more dynamic pose than just an A stance and helps demonstrate the figure's ab crunch) Nor is that a thing that the designer likely partakes in I don't think.

Wanted a second Striker Manus to set combined with a second Jetfire but back and forth on whether to do this one because it's different or another OG. I think that if it didn't come with the additional axe it wouldn't even be a contest in favor of another of the original.

Its all about intention man. It protrudes to the point that its suggesting something very different. Never understood the point of hanging waist skirt armor on a figures groin area. What is it protecting ? (Its a robot) Gundum doesnt go to the extremities (literally) that these 3rd party transformer companies are going through to bring you the goods. (once again literally) Where is the source material for transformers characters to have this ? Are they trying to sell Transformers to Gundam collectors ? If thats not the case its really pointless. I dont think this is something that long time transformers fans has ever asked for on their robots...

Don't get me wrong it looks great, but it would be nice if 3P do more Unicron Trilogy figures.

 

The only intention is dynamic posing and of course they're adding crossover appeal in their designs and posing. Personally I enjoy having robots with more advanced articulation and tend to pose mine more towards this styling than basic A-stancing which I consider junk so as someone who's been a transformers fan since a child I guess I would be a long time Transformers fan who literally asks for designs more geared towards this.

It's weird, though... ab crunch as well as any point of articulation is completely optional in terms of personal use. You can literally buy these and pose them like G1 toys if you want so why complain about having the ability to do MORE than you want to with something if you choose to?

 

I think you actually answered this yourself here. They don't advertise all releases at once precisely because doing so would cause some people to not double dip.
Some folks will buy multiple versions anyway but many end up picking up multiples because each new version is tempting and bcause.. well... willpower is difficult. 

These companies want to sell as much as possible.

 

I think it looks great on it’s own but I think the finish will clash with what we have been shown thus far with the white Buster Skywing. Also I just don’t think that this is enough to really knock-down the knock-off at the current price points.

 

Obviously you care because youre defending it. Im not offended by it. I just think it looks incredibly stupid. So I call it like I see it. On the source material, I can only say that some proportions are better off left on paper and not brought into 3D.

 

Im not sure of I consider a boner a "dynamic" pose. At first I confused this figure with the non transformable line of figures which have even more "pelvic thrust" as the fandom likes to sugarcoat it as being. And those appear to be stuck in that position.

 

This is the first time I've ever felt the need to tell another male to Google what a boner is so I guess kudos for being the new thing that I've been presented with in life today.
