I don't think this will happen, but there's a chance my next PoL ships w/this, Striker Noir, and Legends Black Convoy. That'll be something. Very happy with this price and release date.

The price for this is fantastic, but I'm not going to place any preorders until we get the lowdown on what's happening with the Manus version.

 

I find it interesting that this isn't a made to order run like Noir.

 

Decided to preorder it. I wonder if they are waiting to do the red/blue one due to Takara's figures being readily available right now?

 

Ah, that's a great point about the Takara release. It does make sense that MT would give the buying public a different option aesthetically. I thought it might just have been to mix things up (or maybe there's a story reason why we're seeing Erebus first?) or to ride the Striker Noir wave a little longer with another black version.

I'm not sure what to do.......I hadn't planned on double dipping on this toy and I do want to buy the OP colours but that price and the release date of around TFNation, Gods above it's mighty tempting.

 

Now that Noir has been released, I would probably call it a limited run as opposed to made to order. Noir is still available at a number of retailers, so I don't think it's really made to order.

 

I'm kind of wondering if the red/blue is waiting for the Godbomber to be finished so it can come out as a complete set.

 

So is Erebus coming out before Thunder Manus or what? Are there even any colored pictures of the regular one yet? Seems odd they would reverse the order of Striker.

 

That's what I would hope.

 

RIGHT? After all the extra pack-ins with Noir, it makes me want to wait. Also, for that price, I wonder what the size is. Have they had any comparison pics? That seems really low. I know it's not gonna be full scale compared to Manus and Despotron, but it just seems like it won't even be much bigger!

That said, it's still cool as hell and I can't wait until they start doing the seekers and Ultra Magnus and everything else from the Cross Dimension set. One of my fav. 3p lines after just 2 figures!

TCP's listing has a ton of photos for this figure. I would encourage you all to check it out. The figure looks amazing but there are a few visual elements that I'm not immediately enthusiastic about.

1. Leg sculpting on power master
2. Maybe the butt flap. Though in some of the images it's as if it disappears?
3. The visual breakup on the chest of the smaller manus. It reminds me of Meowth's face. Maybe it will look better in hand?

 

I'm wondering if they will have a whole bunch of weapon spruces for the traditional red/blue version. That would be awesome and really set it apart from other options.

 

I'm gonna wait and see about a red and blue version, but I'm completely blown away by the price.

That's my only major criticism. It's quite distracting, and appears to be a purely cosmetic feature meant to breakup the flat red areas. I still prefer it without though:

 

Kind of like what fanshobby did with their G2 prime. I like that idea because I have always been a bigger fan of dark repaints or nemesis versions of prime. And fans of the regular prime color scheme can rejoice too if you consider how the improvements on the mold would come with the regular prime version when it comes out.
