Transformers Age of Extinction Nominated for the Razzies

Posted on 01-05-2015 at 01:57 AM by Sol Fury under Transformers Movie (Just Movie) (All Transformers Movie News)
Hound It seems to be a tradition now, any new Transformers movie is followed by a series of nominations for the Golden Raspberry Awards, aka the Razzies. Movieweb reports that Transformers Age of Extinction has been nominated in several categories, including Worst Picture, Worst Remake, Rip-Off or Sequel, Worst Screenplay, Worst Screen Combo (for which it says "any two humans / robots"), Worst Director, and surprisingly, Kelsey Grammer gets a nomination for Worst Supporting Actor. Sophia Myles rounds off the list with a nomination for Worst Supporting Actress.

Do you feel these nominations are justified? Do you feel a strong sense of deja vu toward the grand majority of these nominations? Share your thoughts in the discussion thread.

Transformers: Age Of Extinction Becomes The Highest Grossing Movie Of 2014

Posted on 12-24-2014 at 03:04 PM by SilverOptimus under Transformers Movie (Just Movie) (All Transformers Movie News)
Transformers-Age-of-Extinction-Poster-Optimus-and-Grimlock Well, this comes as no surprise. With just few days left to finish Year 2014, Box-Office Mojo has announced that Transformers: Age Of Extinction is the Highest Grossing Movie Of 2014.

AOE achieved this with a worldwide gross of nearly $1.1 Billion. Second place winner is Guardians of the Galaxy which is closely followed by Maleficent.

Guardian has this to say:

"Transformers: Age of Extinction has been named the highest-grossing film of 2014, thanks largely to huge success in China.

The fourth instalment in Michael Bay’s divisive, sci-fi saga took $1.087bn (£690m) around the world. More than $300m came from China, where the film overtook Avatar in July to become the highest-grossing movie of all time. Bay shot Age of Extinction in Hong Kong and hired Chinese stars such as Li Bingbing for supporting roles, thereby helping to encourage local interest."

Director Michael Bay has also been announced as the "Producer Of The Year", following the success of Transformers: Age Of Extinction and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Transformers Movie Advanced Stinger Clear Official Image

Posted on 12-24-2014 at 04:07 AM by Sol Fury under Transformers Movie Toys & Products (All Transformers Movie News)
10550945_556147937821143_1463952002806367909_n Via Autobase Aichi, we have a clear image showing Takara-Tomy's AD-32 Stinger! This is presently the only planned Deluxe class Stinger - he's a redecoed version of the new Camaro Bumblebee, so his robot mode is spot on even though he's not a Pagani when he transforms. Check out the images and see what you think.

Mark Wahlberg committed to doing "a couple more" Transformers movies

Posted on 12-18-2014 at 06:41 PM by Sol Fury under Transformers Movie (Just Movie) (All Transformers Movie News)
250px-Cade Mark Wahlberg, who played the inventor Cade Yeager in this summer's Transformers: Age of Extinction, was talking to MTV and one of the things which he was asked concerned the future of the Transformers franchise. His response was as follows:

"Yeah, I committed to doing a couple more... you know I can’t speak for Mr. Bay, but something tells me we’ll be on the set soon."

By all accounts it sounds like we might see Cade Yeager make a return for at least one, maybe two more Transformers movies going forward!

TFW's Age of Extinction Dinobots Galleries

Posted on 12-16-2014 at 06:45 PM by Sol Fury under Transformers Movie Toys & Products (All Transformers Movie News)
Slash-with-AoE-Dinobots-Dinosaurs We've got a quartet of Transformers: Age of Extinction galleries to share with you tonight - to cap off a movie year and "the year of the Dinobots", we've got galleries of four of them to share with you!

Transformers: Age of Extinction brought the Dinobots to the big screen - and that meant a plethora of dinos in the toyline, including seven different Dinobots along the way. We've previously shared with you a look at Voyager Grimlock and Deluxe Slug, and now they are joined in our galleries by four more of their fellow Dinobots!

TFW2005 member Russian fan contributed the first of our two galleries tonight:

Age of Extinction Deluxe Scorn Gallery
Age of Extinction Deluxe Strafe Gallery

Seeing Russian fan's excellent work on these two, TFW's admin Sol Fury was inspired to dig into his toybox and so we also share with you a couple of his photoshoots:

Age of Extinction Deluxe Slash Gallery
Age of Extinction Voyager Slog Gallery

Check out the galleries of all four of these guys, and give some big thanks to Russian fan for their excellent work on their pics!

Bearbrick Optimus Prime Age of Extinction Version

Posted on 12-11-2014 at 05:09 PM by Sol Fury under Transformers Movie Toys & Products (All Transformers Movie News)
CjbSi2s Here is something interesting - via Planet Iacon Facebook group, we have a look at an Age of Extinction themed redeco of the Bearbrick Optimus Prime figure. Bearbrick Prime transforms from a cute bear figure that looks a bit like a Lego minifig into a fully poseable robot! This version skews closer to the movie series look and is branded Age of Extinction, while the previous one was Generation 1 themed. Interestingly the English logo for Transformers Age of Extinction appears on the box, rather than the usual Japanese version of the logo.
