We’ve got some really exciting news for those of you who really enjoy additions to a collection like displays, dioramas, and backdrops! Reprolabels.COM operator and one of the founding members of our own Radicons forums, Delta Star, dropped by to give us this press release launch of a new venture – ToyStages.COM!
ToyStages.COM aims to assist the collector who wants to spruce up their shelf space with originally-made backdrops made to fit both a standard bookshelf as well as the popular IKEA Detolf cabinets that many collectors use! Utilizing the same quality that tons of collectors have come to expect with Reprolabels, Toy Stages desires to further provide fans and collectors with top notch, quality products that greatly enhance toys such as our favorite Transformers. They also offer a variety of backdrops for other toy lines as well. This is what Delta Star has to say:
“Toystages.com produces backdrops for toy collectors. They’re great for photo shoots and permanent display.
A new section has been added with several backdrops aimed at the Transformers collector!
Each one comes in multiple formats, so have a look: http://toystages.com
Also, they will be displaying the large backdrops at Action Figure Expo this Sunday in Mississauga, so if you’re in the are, go and have a look!”
You can check out a few of the images mirrored here of what can be purchased after the jump, or you can venture on over to the site of ToyStages.COM. Be sure to check them out on their Facebook page as well! Also, certainly don’t forget that if any of your Transformers need some additional detail or label restoration that Reprolabels.COM is your source there as well!
As Delta Star states, be sure to drop by and say, “hello!” at the 11th Annual Canadian Acition Figure Expo convention. This show features a huge selection of vintage ’80s toys and all the latest releases from today such as Transformers (vintage and Japanese imports), Star Wars (new and vintage), GIJoe (vintage and modern), Masters of the Universe (vintage and modern), Super Heroes (Marvel Universe/Legends, DC Universe etc), Wrestling, and tons of other Action Figures and collectibles.

I can't stop you now if I want to. Had you not sent it, I would had told you no because I only want what I paid for. I appreciate it Delta Star or Toyhax.com. I hope I didn't cause you that much trouble. Hopefully, I can get more boards from you in the future. Keep up the good work.
Delta Star
No need – hopefully you can use the old one somehow. We actually sent the Cyberbase one for you too for the trouble… hope you can use that one too

Sorry man. I wish I could help you with the box part on how you sent it, but like I said on the last post that I just took it out cuz I was so happy. I have a feeling that the shipping service are tossing the box around. The box does look bent. I'll email you a pic of the box and send it to your site.
terry981
My apologies. I forgot about the email spam. Never knew it would direct your email as spam. Yes, thank you. Did you get the pics on your website. I swore I sent one out. If not, the pics above is it. I will try to put it back in the box the way it came, but I was so happy to see the product so didn't hesitate to take it out. Its a neat product nonetheless. Do I ship the old one back to the address on the packing slip?
Thanks once again.
Delta Star
Terry – I e-mailed twice… check your spam? Your product was resent already

I just want you folks to be careful. I received mines damaged. I sent them emails to their customer service plus an attachment of the damaged product since last week. Still no reply. I'll do it once more maybe, but it seems like this is shaping to be the worst 56 bucks I spent on TF history. When you put a figure it's okay, it blocks it out, but just telling you folks to be careful. I see that a few of you were fortunate to get yours in pristine condition. Sucks to be me.

Link to my page. Not telling anyone to not buy from there, but I hope they can issue me some kind of replacement.

more for consideration and opinions

taken quickly with camera phone
i like them, just wished it still hugged the glass tighter somehow
first the before, then some after… tried to show how it fit with off center shots. Scoria and grimlock had to move off the top shelf. They eclipsed the board
Edgewise
Anybody that's ordered them get them 'damaged'? I ordered 2 backgrounds and some floor tiles and there's a place where the box got dented and so bent a bit of the backgrounds.
Friendross
Just noticed they updated a class of detlof sized boards. The size of the unit kinda forced them to crop the backgrounds. Understandable
I placed a order for a few last night. Can't wait to share pictures when they come in

I also wish international shipping was a little lower.

May I ask is that the large or large-trimmed backdrop in the Billy?
I like the Billy Oxberg combination in birch or white. Even better if I replace the top shelves with glass ones.
Dimensions here…
BILLY/OXBERG Bookcase – white – IKEA
gbm
Wait, how'd you do that?!?!? The LARGE measure 36 across, and 32 if slightly folded (according to their site), the BILLY width is barely 30.
Vagabond Elf
Hmm, interesting. Both of mine are exact.
However, my Detolfs are more than ten years old, and I know IKEA's switched factories on the Detolfs twice. And 1.5 mm is going to be well inside an acceptable error margin for that sort of thing, from IKEA's perspective – so I'd guess our different results are probably stemming from a slight variation introduced either when they switched factories or as the jig got worn out.

Are toystages making these based on strictly what the ikea demmensions are ? I'm curious cause I don't own an ikea detolf. I have a detolf an have a cubed background in there although it's at least 2 inches short from the top of the next shelf. Meaning the background could be taller. Also , when will the new cubed versions be ready to buy? I'd like to purchase a couple more once they are ready.

for the billy bookcases? The large ones fit nicely in them.
Friendross
its the kind of thing i see no problem doing a shelf at a time if they get the sizing right
in my head i keep trying to think of a way to tie the scenes on the seperate shelves together once they get the sizing squared away
gbm
So bummed.
Was all about getting these for my Ikea shelves. Turns out, the medium is too small, and doesn't reach the ends of the bookcase, and the large (and large trimmed too) is waaaaaaaay too big.
The floor pieces won't really align nicely either, so it'll just look like a silly placemat placed on the shelf. (even if I put more than 1, it still won't reach out to the front enough)
All in all, it'll be like almost $200 bucks to cover all 6 shelves.
I passed. :/
MnemonicSyntax
Why would they do that. AFA graded toys are generally boxed. Do you want a background to be a picture of a shelf at Walmart or Toys R Us?
brr-icy
No, they're assembled right, they aren't perfectly 15 in each. the cube that is slightly smaller is the second one down. by about 1/16th of an inch, enough that it would be a problem for some when putting them in. I measured seven of them to be sure because I thought it was weird. To the top edge of the glass to the bottom of the frame pieces. Either way, the new size is as close as they can get.
