Many fans like the Generations mold, but there are some areas that have limited articulation really needing extra attention. This modification will rectify this. According to TFW2005.COM member, kennum1, it's simple. Using some Lego Knights Kingdom figure pieces, some glue, some screws, and some styrene, it turns out to fix this issue nicely (with some re-shaping).

Movements achieved with this modification are:
    • Abdominal motion: 360 degrees/forward and backward.
    • Waist: 360 degree.

    Directions:

    1. Cut where the red line is:

    2. Cut where the red lines are to re-shape the Lego pieces to fix the hip:

    3. Put two (2) layers of 0.1 cm styrene pieces, then drill a hole for waist movement:

    4. Add a peg on the lower abdominal to go into the hole from step 3.

    5. This is what it looks like once the lower abdominal section is completed:

    6. Glue and screws hold the Lego piece in place (making it super-sturdy):

    7. Once everything is completed, this is what it looks like:

Now the figure has abdominal and waist articulation. The tightened ratchet joints from the Lego pieces allow for holding some nice positions.

The lack in weight and hollow chest is a big turn off. Pictured here in conjunction with this tutorial is some added weight on both feet to make the figure feel more solid. Also shown here are areas patched up to make it less Cybertronian:
