Regarding Hasbro Starscream, i was fortunate in picking one up last Saturday. As far as QC, his chest is super tight- no unwanted unpegging happening here.
Mine had some scuff marks on the paint on his right forearm.
The main QC issue on mine is that he has 2 right fins, what should have been a different moulded part for the left fin, instead it is exactly the same as the right one.

 

Yes, the Hasbro Roddy is a custom with painted boots and head crest. That is the only touch ups I did nto and and he looked miles better.

 

Masterpiece Starscream was back up for preorder. Wonder why it went up so late EST time. Anyone get one (5)?

 

It's pretty noticeable, but for $60 can't really complain. Also, I'm no expert but the plastic feels just as solid as the other seekers to me. He really does feel solid and tight as others have said. I think they nailed the grey perfectly. But it does feel like a "toy" and not a premium collector's figure.

This is the best shot I could get off my phone's camera of light passing through the plastic. Definitely worth the $60 (which is now open for pre-order again at TRU!).

Thanks. I like the extra paint apps on him. Really brings him to life even though he has dead eyes. I tried the KFC hands on him only to remember that the KO Prime is slightly larger than the OEM Prime. You wouldn't be able to tell side-by-side but the hands can tell.

The red on the new TRU MP Starscream looks so cheap! Looks like I'll have to bust out the paint. Assuming I can find it.

 

Thanks 539! I'm using the interrogation background that came with the Hot Toys 1/6 scale Joker from The Dark Knight.
Sadly, my transformers have taken over my Deltofs and my Hot Toys figures have been put back into their cardboard homes for the time being.

are the tail fins also a different shade? it appeared so to me from the stock photo's.

 

I was pleasantly surprised by the head sculpt and paint job. Although it might be just a wee-bit too dark.

 

Starscream 's face is usually dark grey in the G1 cartoon, where Skywarp and ThunderCracker have light silver faces. So I'm more than fine with the dark shade on his face.

Which hands did you put on your Roddy, TC?

OK, so some pics from me. I have been busy transforming a number of my guys into vehicle mode (keeps me entertained!) so thought I would take the opportunity for a couple of snaps.

I love G2 Sideswipe! The black alt' mode is just gorgeous, and so shiny. Makes me excited for a potential MP Deep Cover.


MP-18S Silverstreak is incredible too - can't believe I almost didn't pick him up.


MP Bumblebee is definitely one of my favourite figures. I love that they gave him a 'proper' vehicle mode - perfect choice, IMO. Oh, and he's also a perfect ally to so many other figures!






The Lambo mould is definitely one of my favourites of all time... red, black, white, yellow, whatever. It's just beautiful.




I know a lot of people were disapointed by Wheeljack's bare white plastic, but I think he's definitely one of my favourites. Amazing transformation!


And here he is... the big dog. That alt' mode still just floors me, every time. Just look at it! THIS is the joy of Transformers.






And last but by no means least - Ultra Magnus. WOW. I was actually inspired by Sam's comment the other day about him being the leader of a 'Diaclone army' as his Cyberton troops. Works for me!
