The WST Astrotrain managed to have extending arms and man does it help. Looks SO much better that way. Plus the gun is a bit shorter.

    Hey all,
Since this is the G1 thread and all, I was hoping some of you japan TF experts out there may be able to give me some advice. I'm currently trying to track down the original takara optimus prime (Convoy), and have seen some available on ebay for about 250+ USD BIN...is this a prevalent toy in Japan and Asia (i.e., readily available) like in the US? And what would be a fair/good price for this figure? I know shipping is going to kill me, but I'm willing to bite that bullet.

    Thanks!

I this MIB in Hong Kong all the time. I see it in a fair number of shops whenever I go to Japan. Unfortuntely, since I see it so often, I've never actually bothered to ask for the price, so can't give you advice on that....

Yeah, I've seen that! Looks a lot better in my opinion!

    Alright, onto my purchases!

Swoop, Brawn, Bumble Bee, and Yellow Cliffjumper?

    LOVE SWOOP!

The Minibots are ok but Bee and Jumper have extremely loose arms; Anyway to fix that or should I just buy the key chain versions and swap out arms?

And as promised! Swoop in flight

Well, I was suggesting a gun where Prime's human handle is removed from the rear of a gun and replaced with the peg that is in the middle.

Price check on Swoop? I still want a Diaclone one, but it would be nice to have one at all for the time being.

Thanks! Swoop looks good on that stand, I might have to get one. That's the 6 inch stand, right? I'd be a little scared to put that one support under his head, though, it's notorious for falling off. Is that the only way to balance it?

For one that is near mint/complete/without the box, I've seen prices from 100 to 150 recently. Not sure about prices with the box.

Things to look out for are yellowed beaks, paint chips on the red chest part, and of course chrome wear.

Yes, I think this is the largest stand available. It works great on MP seekers and larger G1 figures like Jetfire. As for balancing, you can balance it any number of ways. Plus, with the weight distribution, I doubt the beak would break off but I'm taking ZERO chances lol.

    Here are some other angles.

I paid 145 for mine with box and the box is just FLAT OUT MINT. No flap crease or anything, the thing looks like it was printed yesterday. Hard to believe this box came from Target for the sweet low price of 9.99

Loose, you can probably buy them for sub 100 dollars. Depending on how picky you are. Swoop is a weird figure to collect, usually, if the beak is attached, he is in great shape. However, be sure to ask a ton of questions and a lot of pictures before you make a buy!

Just be CAREFUL with the beak, it is one of the most easily broken pieces in G1 history if you ask me.

Oh and now I'm down to two more Dinobots! Sludge and Snarl... not sure why I'm leaving Sludge till the end because he was one of my favorite Dinobots growing up.

With Snarl, I found a good deal but it's the gold box release. Not sure if I want to mix box styles.... I'd like to have G1 boxes only

Will do the same for you(at work again now)

Glad they went to a good home and u already got them out in pics too.

Funny thing is I would have had 2 yellow CJ's. Got a box of figs from a guy I used to work with, it had red Bee and yellow CJ in it, so I kept them :D  I seriously was like "Oh its Hubcap" till u said something and I verified it again.

My 2 Swoops (actually, I have 2 diaclone ones, one for each mode). G1 Swoop's beak has yellowed a little, but I actually like it, more cartoon accurate to me.

If I had the funds, I'd buy a Diaclone Swoop and a Canadian Slag. LOVE those figures and glad I could assist you with the stands. I plan on buying more in the near future when MP 11S is released.

me to, a Canadian Slag is hard to come by, even on Ebay. Let alone a diaclone Swoop. I am tempted to get the KO 'blue' G1 Swoop, but not nearly desperate enough just for sake's, sake.
