Reast of the japanese heads are out now also, none of them have the takara stamps on them which is easy to spot on all except shuffler.

I will have pictures of the repro japanese headmasters after Botcon. I will post them and my vintage ones when I get back. So far the easiest way to spot them is as Cobra Zartan said, no copyrights.

I made an offer of a buck fifty and told him that was my best for an obvious fake. :D

I noticed the 1 offer. Does he know he's selling a fake? Or just not willing to admit it?

    Yea sorry for the confusion.

Repros have no stamp, the legit ones do. Shuffler stamp placement on the original is in a different location than the rest.

Here is someone who has the boxd set, the cost on these sets is far greater than what they are being sold off for.

Look at the tabs that plug into the heads and you will see no stamps

Heres a quick img from theallspark.com if you look in the rectangle you can pickout the word takara

Ah, good info to know. I wasn't sure if that stamp info applied to the others.

I noticed Zap's repro set he has for sale. Where else can you find these sets? I would love to get them, but $235 is too high for me. Any help in getting them for less or is that the going rate?

Zap has em for sale and bradforj has em, both want 235-240. I paid $80 + shipping for mine, after I paid for express shipping it worked out to be around $100 for the boxd set. The set of 6 white heads cost me around $130. I know the person who made them and he is planning on setting up shop to stop people from gouging on them. He made them so everyone could enjoy them for cheap instead of forking over $1000+ for a real set.

Man, I would love to be able to get a hold of those for around $100. That is more in my price range for all of them.

Does the person you know have any more gift sets available?

Thank you for all this good info. I do appreciate it.

is that all of them for the headmasters made for g1? how did these originally sold. was it with each figure from headmasters or was it a boxed set from headmasters from the 1980.
the box looks great. i love the g1 style box.

If you'd like to have him get in touch with me, or vice versa, I'd be happy to talk to him about providing a place for him to offer these for the sort of reasonable price he intended, and with people clearly knowing that what they are buying is a reproduction. Not hugely different from him selling these himself, but it would make it easier on him, perhaps, and save him the maintenance and expense of creating a site on his own. It would also allow him to nip the gougers in the bud quicker.

Decided to take some pictures since so many people are asking questions to tell the difference between KO and the real deal:

This is an excellent idea as it would also provide him an outlet in the US... and let's face it, there's a lot of fans in the US (like myself) who would love to have this set without having to deal with international shipping, etc.
