I've been collecting the new figures of the upcoming new movie thus far and now I'm stuck on what to get next. I like to get the Optimus figure but which class - Leader or Voyager? Aside from the price, which form is better???

 

Prepare for an ocean of "LEADER FTW" answers. Cause anything else is ludacris.

The voyager has a big chunk of kible on his back, that gets in the way sometimes, but he also comes with pretty cool guns, but no sword. The misilles will randomly shoot off sometimes.
The leader is awesome, but only has the two swords, so no gun, but has only a small amount of kible that doesn't get in the way of anything (wheels on hip)
I'm getting leader since he's bigger, and way koOl.

 

Leader by far. You are doing yourself an injustice by not getting him.

 

Personally, I'm going to get the Voyager, though I have a feeling I'll cave and get the Leader. If Leader Megatron was worth the price tag, I'd get him and Leader Prime, but as I'm going to go for Voyager Megs, I want an Optimus Prime figure that's the same size. If I can, I'm going to wait for the inevitable themed repaint of the Leader mold. If they decide to repaint him as a different character (say, Ultra Magnus for example), that would be even better. Like my attempt to keep my Autobot to Decepticon ratio at 1:1, I'm trying to see if I can keep the Optimus Prime to Megatron ratio at 1:1 too.

if your going to buy voyager prime over leader prime you might as well buy legends prime over leader prime.

 

leader, movie accuracy, badassery, and its a bigger different optimus than the same ol' repaint from movie one....i would suggest getting ROTF leader prime and finding a cheap voyager TFTM prime from the junkion

i just saw some reviews for each type and yes the backpack for the voyager is a downer! The closeness to the movie of the leader class is amazing but it just towers so many of the figs I already have. Yes I know it is a Leader Class and he is suppose to tower over deluxe and voyager figs. But... but, when I get The Fallen, Optimus will tower over him too, when they're suppose to be the same size. =(

 

I got voyager last time around, so I need a leader Prime this time to go with my leader Megs from the last movie. Ohh and ROTF leader Megs FTL.

 

Let me put it to you this way:
I had originally purchased the Voyager one, 2 days later i saw the Leader one; ran home and returned the voyager without even thinking about it (good thing i hadn't opened it yet  ) and purchased the Leader one; haven't looked back ever since  

 

I have both molds, it's not even close. Voyager is a cool toy, but the ROTF Leader class absolutely trumps it. He's a toy you HAVE to have.

 

Yeah the voyager is a nice mold and looks cool but the ROTF leader mold is a damned masterpiece.

 

Leader, hands down.
