the instructions doesn't say anything on how to properly combine them so I was wondering how you guys combine them.

this is how I set them up.

This is how I do it:

I like to think Jetfire's landing gear/walking stick forms JetPrime's gun. It almost pegs into the lower part of Optimus's arm.

It doesn't really look much like a gun, and it's too small and it's on the wrong side to be the big gun, but that's how I like to do it anyway.

And this is my fan mode.

lol, ...I call that Jet-Powered Convoy mode.

I like what you're doing with the shoulder fins. It's not in my pics, but I've been doing something a bit like that since the production design was leaked. By not having Jetfire's legs completely folded up, you can get a similar look to the cg model. It's an attempt to match the way the outside shoulder fins are supported by struts.

it's too bad that the fins can't be flipped around. That'd be at least a little bit more accurate.

    Edit:

There.. A merge of a little big of everything

Also slanted the wings a little.

Jetfire's head on top mode.. (Prime's head doesn't fold down all the way without them disconnecting)

Not really a whole lot of movie accuracy in any of these, but what can you expect?

Folks, this is probably one of my most favorite threads ever here. I love both of these Legends figures (Prime's RotF toy beats out his TFM one by a mile!), and to see them combine in unexpected ways is such a fun surprise.

Slightly off-topic, but anyone else going as ga-ga as I am with RotF Legends figures? Man, they are all seriously FUN and well thought-out given the amount of materials and detail Hasbro's crammed into these. Bumblebee this time around is terrific, Sideswipe is nicely done, and Mudflap is incredibly charming. I almost bought the red Ironhide since I loved the original one, but I try not to buy repaints (in general).

That's a great way of posing Jetfire! I always thought his cane was short, but posing him in this manner lets him use it properly -- AND he looks older and more crotchety!

Sorry, I have a soft spot for old 'bots; they tend to have good histories (TFA Ratchet especially, though Kup was a favorite of mine as a kid, too).

    ^ That's how I pose my Jetfire too, don't think I'll get a Prime though. :)

When I got that pose to work it really improved my opinion on the figure. Even though it's just a tiny legends figure, using the walking stick makes him seem heavy and imposing.

And yeah, a little crotchety too. Looks a bit like he's chasing young bots off his lawn.

you should barely pull the shins out of the thighs to get a more accurate look. :)
