tru in poughkeepsie has a fixed MM and battle core. BC is hiding behind the electronic dinos in the same isle because i forgot to go back and get him.

Question for the NYC people.

I'll be in the city next Saturday and I was wondering what the best stores for figures are. More than just transformers. Stuff like Figuarts, Monsterarts, Figmas, assorted Banpresto lines, etc. I'm mainly looking for Transformers and Dragon Ball Z stuff but I'll take suggestions for any stores that are worth checking out regardless of if they carry TF or DBZ items.

Also, I was thinking about hitting up Chinatown. Are there any shops I should keep an eye out for or is there not much as far as figures or other random anime collectibles?

Battlecore Optimus was in Colonie TRU yesterday before I grabbed him, as of about 1:30 p.m. the fixed hip Motormaster was still there. Though Colonie is out there is a good chance Prime is at other stores in the area.

 

toy tokyo, imageanime, forbidden planet, midtown comics, maybe kinnokuya book store for some limited jp stuff.....thats bout all i can think of. of course barnes and nobles has shf dbz too. prices are all over the place. you'll find both outrageous prices and deals.

 

I'm never going to find Combiner Wars Ultra Magnus in any store on Long Island ever, am I...

On the other hand, I was hella surprised to find a local Wal-Mart stocked 4 of each Protectobot Deluxe, so there's that. Only took four months!

I can't find anything around Albany. BBTS is the only reason I have Thundercracker, Ultra Magnus, Starscream, Hot Spot, etc...

Distribution sucks and other local collectors have been faster than me.

 

Why not order online? I'm impressed that people still go out and hunt them down though!

I will definitely be going to FP and TT after looking at their pictures. Driving up to the city now, hopefully it goes well.
