It's opening in the US, at Universal Studios Hollywood in Spring 2012. Nope, that's a picture of an actual completed portion of the ride's queue, the concept renderings were leaked a few months ago. Granted the actual ride itself has a lot of work to be done.
I believe it is also opening (before the US) in Singapore. While nothing is confirmed, rumor has it that the Spiderman ride will "transform" (excuse the pun) to the Transformers ride when Universal loses the name rights to the marvel characters. There are different reports as to when they lose the rights. I believe the transformers ride is very much like the Spiderman ride at Universal Florida (Islands of Adventure)
The ride system is the same, but the track design is very different. Transformers will use a 2 story ride layout with an advanced elevator system, Spider-man uses a single level platform. Universal Orlando still has a good 5-10 years with Marvel, since they are doing a major upgrade to Spider-man around the same time Transformers opens in Hollywood, as long as Universal is still investing in their rides (Hulk was just repainted), that there are no plans to replace Marvel Superhero Island for a while since adding Transformers would require a total land overhaul, on top of the ridiculous price tag of the Transformers Ride.
thanks for the info like I said I wasn't sure and knew nothing had been confirmed (at least from me) lol
