This mold bugs me, his head reminds me of the flapping head Canadians off of South park. All I can think when I see him is "what are you talking aboot?"
Looks lovely. TakaraTomy have corrected the colour on the 'Con insignia on Starscream's forehead. Mine should be in hand any day now. *Groan*.. at the twist ties. I was hoping it would use the clamshell tray packaging of the G1 MP series figures (excluding MP Convoy and his repaints).
weird. i got one of these really early with the red con symbol, and the version i have actually has the FF stickers and star symbols painted on. sweet.
I guess TakaraTomy wanted to give people the option to either have USAF or Decepticon style military aircraft markings on Starscream. Personally, I would have preferred them tampoed on but as with the low-vis MP Starscream, I'm also fine with applying decals onto the toy myself.
Thinking of replacing my Hasbro version with this, it looks so much better to me without the tattoos.
For me it's a sure purchase I like the USA/EU version for those cool tatoos but this one is amazing for all these details
I walked into a target yesterday mourning and found the Leader class HFTD version mispriced at $15 dollars, The girl at the register didn't even question me, typed the new price in, and gave me the total. I like the paint job on this "Masterpiece" one better. It's easly the best version of the movie character.
No,thanks,I think the Hasbro version loks better with the tatoos. IMHO,The takara MpM Starscream Version looks too bland,dull & naked with the tatoos. Even if I liked the takara version,I could never justify paying double price. I'd rather buy 2 cheaper priced hasbro versions instead.
This looks a lot better than the tattoo version. More realistic. But I Love/Hate the mold. Jet mode still looks way too thick imo. Damn electro gizmos.
I'm with you guys who prefer the look of the US version. As much as I appreciate the extra detail work, the jet mode deco is pretty dull now.
Those hands being left in plain white plastic... it just looks unfinished. Its a nice variant to the US version but I don't think it was worthy of the MP title. I just hope they get re focused on putting out new MP's of the G1 line and don't fall back on repainting this Starscream in G1, then as Thundercracker, then as Skywarp and finally as Starscream's Ghost. I wonder if they did this just to say, "look we put out three MP's in one year"? Anyway, pass for me.
