i dunno if this thread breaks any rule i checked the rules thing, all ti syas its that i cannont post private conversations but those tf shows thing have been public covnersations as they can be seen in comments or some threads related to tf shows so im nto breaking any rule as they are PUBLIC coversations, but if i cant do this type of threads then jsut close plz

as u guys may or may not know, i only have seen the bayformers movies. but never the tv shows like G1, BW, BM, RID, Unicron trilogy, Animated and Prime (Toys, comics and games dotn coutn as i do Collect, read and play anything of tfs, g1, wfc etc). but some ppl here wants me to see the tf shows. and i refuse. sometimes i think they are maknig it look like its a big deal that i dont see them (no offense to you guys). cause sometimes they say stuff like "fine miss them!" or something like that thus i begin to think its a big deal for them, so i just wanna know if you accept that its my choice or it is a big deal (or jsut a little porblem) for u that i dont watch them

im still not watching them but i just wanna KNOW if its a big deal or not

again if i cant do this type of threads then just close, i just wanted to see if you gusy think its a big deal or it is not for you

Edit: i think this thread got otu of the hand doesnt it, i just wanted to know if it was big deal or nto but it turned into a make eagc7 see those shows. *sigh* i jsut made this thread for see if it was truly a big deal or not

Edit 2: U guys wanted a REASON?, here it is. DESPITE I LOVE CARTOONS, the reason of why i refuse on watching them is Because i prefer seeing Transformers in a Live Action Setiing. thus i have hard tiem accepting in seeing them in a animated setting (Books, Comcis and gaems dont coutn cause well theres no way to make them take palce in a live action setting, also i jsut read the books and comics for 1. they have a interesting story i would liek to read or 2. cuase i wanna learn more of the movieverse. and for games cause they are games and i LOVE GAMES). the only animated thing i saw for tf its the Cyber Missions webshow, but that was just cause it was part of Bayformers and nothing ELSE and i didnt wanted to miss anything of the movieverse. also as i said i JUST Made this thread cause i wanted to see if it was big deal or not I WAS NOT asking you gusy to if i should see them i was jsut asking if it was a big deal, (the poll was jsut added for fun. jsut for see how many of you think i shoudl see them or if u accept my choice or kinda, but again i added it for fun), the reason on why i never revealed it was cause i feared u guys would thought it was jsut a lame excuse i made up, but its not.

At least give them a try... And I thought you watch TF: Prime? I've seen you post in some threads in that section. And, forgive the ignorance, but hve you said why you don't watch Transformers shows? They're all availible on YouTube to have a try.

Honestly, its your choice how you go about enjoying the brand. Its a hobby and there aren't any hard and fast rules.

That being said, I kinda feel that "refusing" to watch any of the prior television programs is only shutting yourself out from some of the best content that this brand has produced and as such, won't get to see some of the bigger reasons why the Transformers have endured for almost 30 years.

You don't have to watch the shows if you don't want to. It's your decision and if you don't want to watch any of the shows then don't. That said, you are missing out on a very significant part of what makes Transformers what it is. Many of them are great shows, and I would strongly recommend you give them a chance.

It has to be very, very hard to get a sense of why Transformers means so much to so many from just the Bayformers movies. I don't know why you would want to never give any of the shows a try.

I mean, what is it that you like about the movies? If the answer is "Transformers", then watch the shows. If the answer is Shia LaBeouf, Megan Fox, or the military, then I guess you won't get much at all from the shows.

To many people, it does. Why are you so dismissive of all that came before? I see a genuine lack of respect for anything pre movie from a lot of movie fans. Why do you feel this why?

Even though I don't have a terribly high opinion of the movies, if that's what you want then more power to you. I feel you are missing something incredibly unique and intriguing but if that's what you decided then so be it.

I'm fine with your opinion to not watch the shows, but you still haven't shed much light onto why you don't watch them. From what conversation we've had, it seems like you don't watch the shows just for the status. I mean, there's not watching the shows because you don't want to, and then there's not watching the shows just to say that you don't watch them.
TL;DR: Don't watch them if you don't want to, it's only as big of a deal as you make it.

I personally cannot watch G1 because of all that is wrong with 80s cartoons - I can't even watch Thundercats and I loved that show back then (I'm getting old).

However, I read up on the continuity when I watched Beast Wars (which I love) - I loathed Beast Machines (its..ok..meh), RID meh, Unicron Trilogy - eh, Animated - I could watch it, Movies - WHOOT, Transformers Prime - HELL YEAH.

I collected toys from all the series (except G1 because my parents didn't want a little girl having boys toys and they are way expensive now) - but the shows are going to be by preference.

Up to you if you give them a try - Just remember G1 was made in the 80s and was designed to sell toys. Beast Wars was 3D and was before its time in innovation (Pixar claimed at one point to be the FIRST to do underwater scenes - which they had to come back on because Mainframe did in Beast Wars), Beast Machines is VERY pretty but if you like the characters in Beast Wars it will make you got WTF!? ETC ETC

Prime or Animated are good series to start with if you don't wan to go back that far though :) .

EDIT: Just wanting to say I didn't watch Transformers when I was younger due to my Parents thinking it was too violent - I use to sneak out of bed early to watch GI Joe.

As for Toys I had Glow Friends and My little Ponies (and some Barbies which I didn't play with much) - I use to have the Glow Friends battle the My Little Ponies :D .

It doesn't matter to me, but you should watch Beast Wars.

And I know this isn't Transformers, but watch Batman: The Animated Series too.

    Of course it's your choice.

But there's nothing wrong with trying some shows out. :)

I've only watched/am watching G1, Beast Wars, Beast Machines, Animated, and Prime. I'm not interested in any of the RiD or Unicron trilogy crap between Beast Wars and Animated. I didn't become a TF fan until the movie came out because the Unicron trilogy sucked in my eyes, and I still cringe trying to watch it.

Though I can still watch G1, I haven't been able to stand old Thundercats for almost a decade. They aged terribly, I mean the animation becomes total crap by the fourth episode, and they're just so...so.....bad. As much as I love the characters.

G1 still retains much of its charm, for me. I can still dig it.

That's basically all the Transformers shows I've seen, though I have been watching RID and Armada on Youtube. Anyways OP, you should give them a try. Oh, and read some Marvel G1 comics because they are far superior to the G1 cartoon.
