It All Began With Shinki Stew! I created enough panels for a short comic so I'll make a thread for it. I don't expect to make many of them or very often but I'll do what I can. This looks to be a Shinki-centric comic but I do intend to introduce my TFs and other toys as ideas strike. This first comic was inspired by a suggestion by Nachtsider in the Shinki thread which in turn brought to mind the Shinki stew from Shane's Comics so I ran off on that. I hope you enjoy! 1st episode (?) Later that night... End!! PS: No Shinki was harmed in the making of this comic! PPS: Security officer Maochao guarantees it! Ha! Ianiera always struck me as kinda creepy. I'd comment that Partio is a ferret, not a cat, but ferrets are just stretched cats anyhow. I would like to second that question about the room prop. I could use something like that.

Yes, Partio is really a ferret not a cat but 1) she looks like a cat anyways, 2) her familiar is a cat, and 3) I needed someone that can fit into the pot (Mao would've been too big...and wouldn't look as cute ). Mao looks better as the security officer anyways. The prop is Nendoroid Playset #2, A & B. It came with all the non-Shinki accessories used in the comic. I like this particular set because the Japanese style room gives me an excuse to sit everyone down so they don't look like they're towering in the room (it was made for Nendoroid after all ). Set #1 & #3 are Japanese school room settings btw, classroom and club room settings respectively. And #1 & #2 are sold out most places. Merged the 2nd & 3rd panel into a single image. Crash-course in Gimp basics is a bitch. And learning to do special effects? I do not look forward to that.
It All Began With Shinki Stew Appendage 1.1 - A Day In Front Of The Camera Alternate ending: Pomock gives Partio a noogie to the head. I thought that was a bit mean considering she's been chopped up already so I went with lovey-dovey ending instead. Let me know which you guys prefer and I'll that into consideration for future strips. Also let me know if you prefer this smaller size or the previous bigger strip picture size.
