Well, now that Dark Minion Fremble is out, and Dark Minion Sqwawk/Beak/Saw/Beast/Ravager are on their way to me (i bought enough to also make a Medic Ravager as well, lol), i figured i'd get working on reworking the other Minions i had. The Ejectoid Minions, Eject/Rewind/Flip/Rose. The first rendition was great, looked like Eject, articulated well, there was only one problem. Stems of 1mm are not good, and though mine haven't broken yet, i look at them and it scares me. So, taking cues from the Dark Minions, i present the first Light Minion, Eject.

Since there hasn't been a WFC Blaster yet, i made this guy work with Soundwave's chest cavity. He's basically a mix of Fremble and the old Ejectoid Minions, but improved here and there. Mainly just making sure the new ball joint system i'm using now works, and adjusting the details. In keeping with tradition, i kept parts from the original release, scaling and modifying them as necessary. The legs and head are from the original Ejectoid, modified to fit the new body. I also made the Eject signs much more prominent, making them bigger on the legs, and adding them to the lower arms. Obviously, for the other three, they would have their respective symbols in place of the Eject symbols.

He'll be up on Shapeways soon, and since i've now verified the ball joint system with Fremble, he should be available very soon. :)

Cool beans. Are you designing this for fun, or will this actually be made into a toy?

    Light Minion Rewind

Thanks bro! I still turn to your Holi for my source of awesome sauce. :)

Chaos: Tedimus is right. My designs are available through Shapeways. For instance, Eject is based on my Dark Minion Fremble v4, which is available for purchase; see this thread for pictures of the actual product interacting with my WFC Soundwave. You can also buy one from the links in the above thread. Eject will soon be available as well, along with the other Minions. I'm going to clean up my Shop tomorrow, so for the time being, Fremble's the only one available. :)

The main difference? The Rewind symbol, obviously.  Like Eject, as soon as i get mine, he'll be available for sale.

    Light Minion Rose

Made some changes to this one. Unlike her previous incarnation, i changed her symbol, from the original "KP" to a love heart. I just think she looks cuter this way. :)

Update: All 4 of the "Light Ejectoid Minions" (above) will be available within the next 2 weeks. I've just ordered mine, so in a maximum of 10 working days, they'll get to me. :)

    Light Grandtank Minion

A little departure from my work updating my old Minions, here's a completely new design. Light Grandtank Minion is basically a mobile weapons platform, probably the mot heavily armed of all the Minions i've made so far. It's 6 smaller blasters are accessible in both modes, while the main cannon stows away in alt mode. Interestingly, the alt mode isn't a Solid State Drive. It's actually a rechargeable battery, since the retracted cannon masquerades remarkably well as one.

In other news, this would be my first time using a telescoping part in my designs. This was inevitable as i wanted to keep the front as close to G1 Grandslam (the inspiration for this design) as possible, which meant no huge cannon out the front. I realise it does mean he aims slightly upwards, but it's a mini-tank. Chances are his opponents will be higher up anyways. :D

Yeah, the transformation is as simple as it looks. :lol

EDIT: still need to add the locking pegs. Will do that when I wake up. :)

    Very nice.
Would it be possible to make a back piece for all your minions? It's just that I'm not a big fan of the large holes in their backs. :D

Thanks bro. The hole isn't really that noticeable in real life, since these things are so small.

    Light Grandtank Minion v2

I designed the original around Midnight, so i was tired and didn't really think too much about things. This morning, i improved Grandtank, adding more weaponry, the locking pegs that will let it dock inside WFC Soundwave, and the locking clips for the barrel (so it stays open or closed). Also added some detailing, and panel lines.

    Light Minion Squalldance

Obviously, after Grandtank, i had to do Squalldance. It was very important to me that they both shared a lot in terms of their designs, because of them being a pair. Squalldance's jet mode i reworked slightly, looking more like a stealth bomber. In keeping with Grandtank, Light Minion Squalldance also has a telescoping main weapon, but it's not a cannon. It's a proton missile. Squalldance also carries to smaller lasers, mounted underneath the cockpit. Squalldance's altmode is a rechargeable battery, like Grandtank. It transforms by retracting the cannon, and rotating the wings around. Oh, and i kept the panel lined look of Grandtank on Squalldance.

I should mention the proton missile can aim both up and down. :)  Inspiration for this design would be a mix of G1 Raindance (obviously...) and Blue Fighter from Gotcha Force.

    Light Minion Grandtank v3

Changes: Added wheels in the bottom of the treads to allow it to roll along the ground.
