Remember me? Yeah, you do! I'm the one who did the TFA Combaticons and Bruticus. Well, I'm back and this time, I brought along some Stunticons I'd like to show you all.

DISCLAIMER: I do not own the Stunticons in anyway... not do I want to try and rip-off the stylings of TFA and those who have created their own TFA designs of the Stunticons before me. I just wan to draw how I think the Stunticons should look like.

    EDIT:
    Menasor -October 30th
    Motormaster - September 14th
    WildRider - September 2nd
    Dead End - August 28th
    Drag Strip - August 21st
Red Optic Breakdown - August 19th

    Anywho...

    MENASOR!!
    Decepticon
    Function: Ultimate Road Berserker
    Subgroup: Stunticons

    Tech Spec:
"Give me fuel! Give me fire! Give me that which I desire!"
    Strength: 10
    Intelligence: 3
    Speed: 3**
    Endurance: 9
    Rank: 5
    Courage: 9
    Firepower: 6
    Skill: 9

Only a small handful of DECEPTICON warrios can cause total and mindless destruction on or off the battlefield on such a devastating scale; DECEPTICON MENASOR is such a warrior. MENASOR is the gestalt form of thw DECEPTICON Stunticon Road Warriors. Screaming and bellowing wildly and destroying everything in his path, MENASOR is wrath-incarnate; he is more of a sparkless monster that desires only to destroy. His splinter and unstable personality is created from the the Stunticons' dislike of MOTORMASTER and their own clashing personalities (BREAKDOWN's fear and paranoia, DRAG STRIP's obsession with winning, DEAD END's depression, WILD RIDER's malice and MOTORMASTER's hatred). AUTOBOT dread the day this beast came online, while DECEPTICONS praise (and are wary of) his existence.

    * Virtually unstoppable and indestructible when on the move.
    * MENASOR can create small Ion Storms with his might and Ion Buster.
    * MENASOR gains different powers and abilities depending on which arm/leg combination component goes where.

** Despite his hulking frame, MENASOR can reach speeds greater than that of sound in short bursts.

    Motormaster!
    Decepticon
Function: Leader of the Stunticons, "King of the Road", Road Warrior
    Subgroup: Stunticons

    Tech Spec:
"Hatred is the greatest fuel of destruction and death."
    Strength: 9
    Intelligence: 6
    Speed: 5
    Endurance: 10
    Rank: 7
    Courage: 9
    Firepower: 6
    Skill: 5

DECEPTICON MOTORMASTER has two sides to him; one is where he is calm, cold and methodical; the other side is a bloodthirsty and crazed berserker warrior bent on destruction. The constant personality of MOTORMASTER is his unrelenting hatred, cruelty and brutality towards others. MOTORMASTER is the leader of the Stunticon Road Warriors. MOTORMASTER is known best as a sparkless monster, as he controls and destroys anyone through a system of fear and relentlessness. On the road and in battle, he can be seen driving around recklessly or tearing AUTOBOTs apart with his bare servos. The only AUTOBOT most willing to stand-up to him is OPTIMUS PRIME. He along with the other Stunticons can form MENASOR.

    * Strongest and most powerful of the Stunticons, yet the slowest.
    * Ionizer Blade can break-down anything it strikes at a molecular level.
    * Prone to ramming into others while in vehicle mode.

    WildRider!

    Decepticon
    Function: Terrorist, "Hellion", Punk, Mechanic
    Subgroup: Stunticons

    Tech Spec:
"I never leave a bot behind... it would be a waste of usable material!"
    Strength: 8
    Intelligence: 6
    Speed: 6
    Endurance: 7
    Rank: 6
    Courage: 8
    Firepower: 8
    Skill: 6

Most DECEPTICONs live for conquest, destruction and power; WILDRIDER lives for spreading chaos and havoc. WILDRIDER is the Terrorist and mechanic of the Stunticon Road Warriors. Dangerous and aggressive are mild terms used to describe WILDRIDER - following in his idol LOCKDOWN's footsteps, he tends to collect spare parts from his fallen enemies (and allies) for upgrades and trophies; however, due to a falling-out with his idol, WILDRIDER wants to one-up LOCKDOWN in a different way. So, he uses those spare parts to build and repair ships, as well as other DECEPTICONs. This act disgusts, frightens and disturbs AUTOBOTS and impresses DECEPTICONS, particularly MOTORMASTER. Mission Accomplished!

    * Exercises the least amount of restraint (along with MOTORMASTER).
    * Engine-Baton-Scattor-Rifle, Terror Claws and Galvanize Switchblade are custom made from fallen enemies.
    * Second largest and strongest of the Stunticons.

Most of his bio and design borrows alot from Lockdown. Shameless, I know, but hey... he's awesome...
    an a Punkaft Decepticon!

    Dead End

    Decepticon
    Function: Ambusher, "Witch"
    Subgroup: Stunticons

    Tech Spec:
    "Let's face it: ... we're doomed..."
    Strength: 6
    Intelligence: 8
    Speed: 7
    Endurance: 5
    Rank: 5
    Courage: 9
    Firepower: 5
    Skill: 7

Sulking in the shadows, listening to her own bewitching and depressing ramblings and crawling on all fours, DECEPTICON DEAD END is by far the creepiest DECEPTICON out there. DEAD END is the ambusher and sole female of the Stunticon Road Warriors. It is no wonder why DEAD END is so depressing and morose: she has few colleagues and even fewer friends, as most of them are creeped-out by her mannerisms. This does not stop DECEPTICON MOTORMASTER from including her in his group; though he despises her personality, he admires her methods. DEAD END doesn't mind her leader that much, though she is on good terms with fellow BREAKDOWN. Can combine with fellow Stunticons to form MENASOR.

    * Sacrifices speed, strength and power for agility.
    * Tire Smog of Doom blasts her enemies with compressed smog, while Empathy Streamers absorbs her enemies' energy while making them depressed.
    * Ambushes include pulling her enemies into the darkness and either absorbing their energies or dismantling them like an animal.

    Drag Strip!

    Decepticon
    Function: Engineer
    Subgroup: Stunticons

    Tech Spec:
"You win, I slag you. I win, I slag you as I rub it into your face plate."
    Strength: 6
    Intelligence: 7
    Speed: 9
    Endurance: 5
    Rank: 5
    Courage: 8
    Firepower: 7
    Skill: 9

Don't be fooled by DECEPTICON DRAG STRIP's kind and friendly demeanor; DRAG STRIP is sociopathic, violent and is obsessed with winning at all costs. DRAG STRIP is the engineer of the Stunticon Road Warriors. DRAG STRIP feels the need to win at everything, be it major battles or races, or something trivial like an argument. He also likes to win the sparks and processors of those foolish enough to trust him. The reason he acts so nice is so that he can undermine his opponents in an upcoming event (such as sabotaging "repairs") and grab easy victory for himself. Losing is not an option, as he'll take his wrath on those around him if he loses. He hates MOTORMASTER the most, but keeps this hatred under passive aggressive nature. Can combine with other Stunticons to form MENASOR.

    * Dragster vehicle mode is fastest of the Stunticons, though his robot mode emphasizes on power and strength.
    * Keeps Gravitron weapons hidden in his servos to snatch objects, opponents and victory with gravity powers and then flings them.
    * Technical knowledge of another bot's internal structure grants him an advantage when sabotaging one's chances of winning.

    Breakdown!

    (Red Optics included)

    Decepticon
    Function: Scout
    Subgroup: Stunticons

    Tech Spec:
"Aww jeez! This is WAY too much pressure!"
    Strength: 6
    Intelligence: 7
    Speed: 8
    Endurance: 5
    Rank: 5
    Courage: 3
    Firepower: 6
    Skill: 7

If there is one con out there that would make DECEPTICON SKYWARP look brave, DECEPTICON BREAKDOWN would be that con. BREAKDOWN is the scout of the Stunticon Road Warriors group, led by the brutal MOTORMASTER. In a state of constant fear and paranoia, BREAKDOWN is always on the lookout for anyone or anything that can cause him harm, be it an AUTOBOT warrior, sentries or that annoying electrical creature with the Blitzwing-esque face on it. Prefers long-ranged combat as opposed to melee-combat, as he feels "safest" from afar. If he could, he'd rather be something else (like a human) or be cyan and violet... though that would draw everyone's attention. Fears MOTORMASTER the most and fears DEAD END the least (he is even friends with her). BREAKDOWN and the others can combine to form MENASOR.

    * Smallest and weakest of the Stunticons, but probably one of the fatest.
    * Can cause system failure with his Electro-Malfunctioners.
    * Stunticon repaired the most often, as he often springs an oil leak whenever in battle.

    More to come soon.
I hope you like what I got.

I love Breakdown, he's big enough to appear like a combat trooper (despite his cowardice), I love the perpetual look of frustration, confusion and fear on his face, the his face twitching from electric jolts is an awesome idea. I like how his weapon looks like a taser, it makes soo much sense for 'em.

Can't wait to see the rest (especially a your take on Motormaster and a female Dead End). I also wonder if one of 'em is going to be cholo-ified.

I really like that Breakdown design. The car mode is slick and the, well, breakdown looks like it's painful. Reminds me of Red Alert's episodes, except more severe looking. For some stupid reason I imagine him sitting and freaking out in a Decepticons doctor's offical while Scalpel perscribes pills or something. The springing an oil leak quip is a little too Skywarp-y, though.

I like his taser-sheild. "Stay back, man I'll tase you!"

Now is he supposed to be an ex Autobot or something? He's got a Deception symbol but blue eyes.

Maybe instead of being branded he just put on a sticker. :lol

while I like the alt and the body the head throws it off its too cute plus the eyes are blue something typically given to autobots and combined with the "cute" look it does not work for me

Yeah, if the eyes were a titch more narrow and red he'd look a lot more like a Decepticon.

And I just realised, his body type is Hot Shot's.

What you have to consider is, narrow eyes are for predators, wider eyes are for prey, which Breakdown always considers himself. Deer, Bunnies and what-else-have-you have those big cutsey eyes not to be snuggable, but because they're always on the watch, freaking out and ready to book it when necessary. I feel the eyes (including the passive blue color, compared to the aggressive red color) are perfect for Breakdown.

I have to disagree they give totally the wrong impression.

Firstly the artist has made a common mistake a lot of animated designers do and (its rather ironic given what people say about the animated style) the artist has totally forgotten to give him any body language and thus he lacks character outside of the face area, so as viewer I have to judge his character off what little the artist given me and all I can see is a scared child-like face. Also by only giving character to the face and not with a pose as well the artist has already limited his expression to minor face emotions and paranoia is something that needs the whole body to emote.

As for having large eyes it does not mean they cant also look like those of a villain keep the size but make them diamond shaped angled in and not out like here. As for the colour Blue is just not working, Blue says a lot about a character to the viewer and most of them are not what the artist is trying to get across.

So it appears we come to this halt in the crossroads where basically our judgments are influenced by two different things.

You're looking at 'em by an artists point of view, the science of colors, drawing a character and whatnot. Where I look at it in a...I want to say "practical" point of view, but that sounds wrong (I'll attempt to find a better word). I'm looking at it in that in our world, different characters come in different shapes in sizes, the chaos creates combinations many wouldn't expect.

So while I'm looking at Breakdown, I see he was born with certain genetics and physical programs or whathaveyou, but inside, he's a coward trying to survive. All you really need is the face to show it, there can be far too many other factors affecting the body. That's one problem I tend to have with cartoon, the big guy is almost always dumb, strong, and slow, while the smaller guys can be witty, quick, and weak. I've known many guys who are quite the opposite, so body structure alone isn't what I (again, just personally) look at to judge who a character is. Studying the face, on the other hand, for long enough, is all that's really needed.

While I agree we are clearly at different ends of the spectrum I think body language could have cleared up any issues as he could have the physical body of a typical con but with the right pose could emote a more panic filled character

I dunno, I think the artist is more than capable with still making him look nurotic with slightly narrower eyes. They don't have to be squinting, evil-expression, I just think that'd body would look better with narrower, red eyes.

First of all, I'd like to point out that most TFA character models (even and especially the official one made by the designers of TFA) have characters that have neutral standing poses to introduce the character (nothing too fancy, just to give the character). Of course, there are more-actiony poses out there that gives the character in action and how they react, but I wasn't go for that at the moment. I can see how you think he'd be a stiff; I could probably do some action pose of his in the future, but I figured I'd get his model design down first and then worry how he'd act.

Secondly, sure, the eyes might not be the most Decepticon-like out there (I'll probably do a red-version of Breakdown, just to see how that goes), but I think those red eyes belong to Decepticons (save for some of the Constructicons) who are badass killing machines who can hold their own in a fight. Breakdown isn't such the case, as the only thing he knows about fighting is how to use his electro-malfunctioners to make his enemy spazz-out long enough for him to either get away or get someone else to do the work for him.

I'm sorry if I sound a bit harsh and I thank you for your criticism.

I love the Tweek quote as his motto (tokk me about 5 minutes of aching my brain to realise where it was from.

It is a tech spec design and those don't usually show emotion as they're there to show a character model rather than personallity, if it were box art then I agree that a pose more suited to the characterisation would work well. would like to see that when the entire squad is revealed.

:) lol at Dead End if she ends up how I imagine she will
    go cry emo kid!

maybe make his eyes yellow or purple to fit in with blue for autobot, yellow for neutral and have it breakdown used to be neutral but got pulled into the decepticons through fearing what would happen if he didn't go along with it.

Really like the design and can't wait for Deadend. The only reason I wish his eyes were red is because Derrick J Wyatt stated that all Decepticons have red optics (except for neutrals and in the case where guys like Swindle or Waspinator go between both factions) and all Autobots have blue optics. Other than the eyes, I think the design is awesome! Even the alt mode is great! I usually have a tough time drawing cars.

Breakdown looks cool but you should change the eyes to yellow or purple. ;)
About the fembot, I would prefer to see a female Drag Strip instead of a female Dead End. :p

I never said anything about being stiff and he's not. My point was that your trying to show him with emotion in the face but its not matched in the body so its not really working the way you want it to.

As for how the pro's do model sheets actually they do multiple model sheets to show the range of emotion its very rare for any cartoon to have just 1 or 2 pictures for animators to reference. Often then will have 2 one from the front and one from the back and these will show no emotion (unlike yours that's trying too) then others (mostly face shots but not all) to show how he emotes. I know I've had to study and make them for the last few years.

what your trying to do is put across a concept for a character in one image and to do that he needs to show his character.

Also something that's been bugging me. How does he transform? I see nothing that's common between the robot mode and the car mode bar the chest peace.

for your next pic here is a challenge don't do a bio (or at least don't use it to fill in holes about the personality) try drawing the character with a pose that shows the details but also puts across the character. it does not have to be something crazy even just better posing of the arms could do it.

Just out of curiousity, was the pen tool in photoshop used to make the line art?
