just a couple of quick renders of my W.I.P Classics Banzaitron project. I couldn't find a screw driver small enough to take apart the head on the body I'm gonna use, so I still need to work in the ball joint for the neck and light piping for the eyes. I'm also gonna do a set of swords so he can face off against Drift. Ninja showdown!
Is this for ROTF: HFTD Voyager class Banzitron? If so, sign me up for one! Given this excellent 3-D render here, I'm confident that you will do great work with the ROTF Leader Megatron head(s) that I sent you!
Actually it's for a deluxe mold, but at this stage I could scale it up and make it for ROTF Banzaitron.
Are you submitting this to be made for the voyager as a replacement? If so, please let me know where and when; I would love to buy one. This actually would make me buy that figure instead of pass on it as I had been planning. Edit- you posed as I did. Please upscale it; just make sure that it'll clear the chest cavity.
Cool! Gonna use Drifts body, Figured it'd make a cool Banzaitron, never liked the idea of him as a boat. Cool! Thanks! Well I still don't have a screwdriver small enough to finish the deluxe size, so becuase you demanded it... Voyager Banzaitron head (For the ROTF Bludgeon mold.) It'll be on the shapeways store by the end of the day.
Yep, The dpth had to be brought in to get it to fit but I'm sure it wont look squashed once it's on the figure. Do it!
Looking good! I saw Cheetimus Primal's WIP of his Banzaitron out of Drift, awhile ago. Was thinking it was an awesome idea, especially with a new head. If you do get to the point of getting your design prototyped, and casted, I'd definitely get one. Cheetimus Primal's Banzaitron: Generations Bazaitron prototype - The Allspark Forums
Do it! Cool. Thanks! This is the first time I've seen this, But the colours work well. A new head would nail it. I was gonna paint mine carbon fibre grey, with bright green racing decals. Bought a new set of scewdrivers yesterday so should have this finished this weekend.
I'm a big fan of Banzaitron, after getting the AM figure for Christmas. So I'm really looking forward to this project of yours, as I think Drift's body is perfect for a Classics version as well. Have you thought about some how incorporating his crab partner from the original AM toy? As for the car mode, I was thinking of just going all black, with neon or bright green decals. I'll probably look up various modded cars from Japan, to get ideas for the decal. Anyways, keep up with the great job on this.
THAT is just awesome. if i can manage to get two versions of the bludgeon mold,i guess ill pick up the banzaitron repaint just so i can get THAT head, and use it,but bout the original head,eh. ill keep it as a spare. also cashanova, may i suggest a few ideas for new heads for the future HFTD line toys that are also just repaints?
Thanks! Suggest away! Do you want them G1 style or movie style? Thanks man, I was considering doing something for his crab partner but I'm not sure what, maybe have it transform into guns that attach to the car. I never owned the original so it's gonna take some thinking. Someone has ordered the head, plus a magnus hammer and a Pyro head from my shapeways store. Whoever it is, let me know how they come out.
K' Pm'ed you bout it,yeah keeping it a good surprise from the others. maybe you can also try making little target masters also, for like generations blurr.
This looks great and I'm definitely interested in ordering one of these after I get the Voyager Banzaitron. I've never ordered 3D prints from shapeway what would be a good choice in materials to choose when ordering?
Got that, some ggod ideas there. I've been thinking about target masters, I did do a replica TM for classics Rodimus but I wast 100% on the final design. I think I'd like to do something with more possablity. Thanks! ok here's a quick break down of materials. White, Strong & Flexible: This stuf is nice and sturdy but takes a hell of a lot of snading and prep work. White detail: Havnt tried this yet. Transparent: I used this for my Galvatron Cannon, and it's really good. Faily strong and super smooth. It has some small burrs of excess material in places but it's easy to clean up. Personally stuff like heads I'd deffinatley order in transparent.
