Scourge: Drawn in the style of Transformers Animated and Art Director/Lead Character Designer Derrick J. Wyatt. Obviously colored in a "Shattered Glass" Optimus Prime style. But since one man's Scourge is another man's Nemesis Prime, I also included a more traditional Nemesis color scheme. Not the most original I know, but this is kinda an experiment. I wanted to see if I could actually draw something that looked like it could belong in the animated series. For the most part, I think it turned out well. Like most, when I originally saw the character designs for Transformers Animated I was like, "What the F*@%K?!" But over the last three seasons, I must admit the show has grown on me. And now that it is coming to an end, I thought I'd like to try my hand at drawing some of my favorite characters that I would have loved to see on the show. Obviously this was done for fun, and I do not own the rights for anything Transformers (Animated or otherwise) names or logos © Hasbro Lines by Me Colors by Me Back story: Starscream grew more and more irate with every defeat by Megatron. Realizing it would take more than just his cloned doppelgangers to rip Megatron from power, Starscream requisitioned Decepticon transtechnician Tarantulas (or rather, bribed Tarantulas using the energon stockpile still aboard the Nemesis) to create a soldier that could bring Megatron to his knees. Tarantulas thought there'd be a certain irony using the two bots responsible for defeating Starscream time and time again as the templates for this new Decepticon - Optimus Prime and Megatron. And so, the cloned sparks of Optimus Prime and Megatron were fused and implanted into a stolen protoform. A twisted amalgamation, Scourge is brought online. Refusing to be any bots puppet, Scourge quickly turns against Starscream and sets out with his own plans for the universe. Scourge is capable of both elegant, reasoned judgment and wild, vicious action. Once he has set his sights on a goal, his drive to achieve it is unwavering and he will accept nothing less than total victory. During an altercation on Earth, Scourge finds himself fascinated by the Dinobots. There is a certain honor about them using their claws, fangs and sheer might to defeat an enemy, rather than blasters and particle weapons. Though the Dinobots are clumsy and stupid, Scourge sees potential and realizes than neither Autobot nor Decepticon are fit to survive in his new world. Scourge seeks out his co-creator Tarantulas to design a new race to be his army, the Predacons. Ever the mad scientist, Tarantulas happily agrees. Scourge is also a very ambitious warrior. He cares not for total domination over Cybertron. Rather, his goal is to acquire power. Power to wipe the universe clean and reshape it in the manor he sees fit. After taking Tarantulas as his first lieutenant, Tarantulas tells Scourge of an ancient datafile he stumbled upon in the catacombs beneath the Tripredacus Council. The file speaks of a herald to a great and unimaginable power. Scourge sees this herald as the key to the power he needs to reshape the universe. His goal is to find this herald, referred to in the datafile as "The Fallen" and use it the unlock this unimaginable power called Unicron. Scourge knows not where to begin searching for this herald of Unicron, but he feels the Quintessons might...
I like 'em, although Scourge jumps out to me the most. Maybe it's cause his colors remind me of Shattered Glass Optimus Prime or soemthing, I dunno, but he does still look cool.
Thanks. I'm still havin' a hard time deciding which one I like better. I've never been able to associate purple with evil, and there is just something about Nemesis Prime's baby-blue highlights that has always stuck out like a sore thumb to me.
good work and the back story is pretty sweet too. I like Scourge more but I can see them both existing in your story Nemesis is maybe a less ambitious version like a loyal second in command kind of how Optimus Prime is below Ultra Maguns, Scourge Magnus or Ultra Scourge with Nemesis Prime as his second completely loyal ala G1 Shockwave or Soundwave
Man, I hope we see something like this tomorrow with Human Error part 2! (If you already know what happens at the end of part 1).
I'm so dangerously close to fan-fic enough as it is. I've always promised myse;f that no matter how nerdy I get, I will never dive into fan-fic LoL
I'm planning for my fanfic to include Scourge, Nemesis Prime, and Guiltar though with nemesis prime based on his Universe version and guiltar being based on his Jin Saotome custom figure toy version though scourge would probably be only slightly different from yours so I can take the nerd pressure off of you
