I thought I would start a thread in here, seeing as the topic always gets swamped by the fast moving UK Discussion thread.

Thursday evening is best for me, pretty much any Thursday.

I think the Harverster Cybershadow mentioned was this one

The King's Arms in Barnet - 3.0 Miles
    Stirling Corner, Barnet, EN5 3JG
    Tel: 0208 4419696

    Harvester Barnet: Home

Weirdly the Harvester page only shows some notification for voucher scams?

Anyway thats the one at the A1 that we were talking about, but the Edgware one is only a few minutes drive from that so we can always change location to there. Problem is the Edgware one is always busy with a full car park, and the Stirling corner one is bigger and has a bigger car park, IIRC.

Date, undecided, but any thursday is good for me.

Time, for me would be early evening ish, 6:30 or so onwards. Gotta work to eat.

If we do decide to do it on a weekend the time can change to the afternoon for lunch, but bear in mind both Harvesters are insanely busy on weekends.

Also, what about families, we bringing them along?

    Alrighty, Barnet cool by me.

Most Thursdays are a go-er, too. Maybe even easier than a weekend.

I'd probably say no to families only because four or five nerds + nerdwives + nerdspring suddenly becomes a massive table. Also, I hate people*.

    *I don't.

Yep, thats the one that I had in mind.... only because I used to pass it every day and I know its about midway between me and Mill Hill.

I agree to 'no family' for the first of these. Its going to be awkward enough with toy nerds... and I do hate people. If I liked people, I would be outside instead of in front of this keyboard! :D

Is anyone interested in buying Alts/BTS or Classics? Got quite a few to sell and can knock some money off for bulk buys/avoiding the hassle of posting.

Who else expressed interest previously? I recall Fort Max was wanting to, but I can't be sure, and I don't want to PM him out of the blue, if that makes sense.

Alright, first tentative get together, no spouses or offspring. I suppose that makes sense if things turn bad at our first face to face meetings and we end up attacking each other with Salad forks and Bacon bits.

Fort Max knows we're on about this. I'll shoot him a text.

It's worth putting word out to the other Londoners - simond, scubaboy31, etc.

Yeah, I'd be up for this. Can't go wrong with a bit of a get together. Also be nice to pretend I still live in North London like the good ol' days...

    Yeah, all welcome, I reckon.

Swoop - yeah, let's throw up what we're offering to bring along for sale. That way, people can express an interest or not. Then we don't each turn up with a sack of Bayverse legends.

So... I'm considering parting with some ROTF stuff (if I can avoid boxing and posting).

Anybody interested in anything from that line?

I'm up for this, sounds like it'll be a bit of a laugh. It's a fair trek from South London but once a date is set then I'll do my best to make it.

To be fair, Barnet is a fair trek from everywhere but Barnet.

I used to go to school in Barnet, and Barnet's nothing! Potters bar is a literal phantom zone, everyone knows it exists but only the people in it know where it is.

Potters Bar is known generally for two things.

    1. The train crash several years ago.

    2. The museum, which focusses on toilet history of Potters Bar, and.... the Zepplin crash of 1916.

That should tell you everything that you need to know.

Did not know there was a museum in Potters Bar.

Likewise, can't wait to be out of Willesden.
