One long thread can be cumbersome to deal with, so with the start of the new year brings a new thread! (It's the same thing as the last thread essentially.

I'll edit this first post to reflect any decisions we all make (but please don't bump the old thread!).

While things don't certainly have to stay the same format (many of us have already talked about doing different things), the following is a good sketch of how things have went in the past:

• lunch around noon or so
• Toy hunt at local Walmart(s) and Target(s)
• Toy hunt at local shops that carry vintage TFs
• Swap meet in parking lot

Our first meet-up for 2010 was March 20th, noon @ the Red Robin on Brier Creek. It was GREAT

when is wfc getting released? it might be more fun to do this with a new line coming out.

 

Well, my suggestion is simply to meet up when it's just a little warmer and such. We can certainly plan a time to meet up when the WfC line comes out and such, but in the meantime it would be fun to hangout again sooner!

I am good for just about any weekend, so my schedule is pretty flexible. I look forward to us hanging out and enjoying our hobby together.

I am good with any place to eat....Red Robin is a great choice that I have come to love!!

Hopefully there won't be anymore snow or ice, so that way we can get out and have some fun as a group.

As far as dates are concerned, I was thinking that maybe we could do something end of March/first of April, relatively speaking. The cold weather can complicate things a bit

As for what's coming up sooner, what else have you guys been thinking?

Something I've meant to throw out is that whatever the group decides to do is what the group decides. Essentially, I just want to keep things rollin' and stuff, ya know.   I certainly want to meet up and hang out, etc., but instances are very real where I may not get to. I'd hate not to hang out with you all, but I'm cool with it as well.

I'm good for either red robin in march or Junes inside pitch in gboro. All were doing is getting together to meet.

 

I'm up for anything pretty much as well...just want to hang out with some fellow fans and enjoy the hobby!!

 

I know I'll be at the GSO toy show. Already in the calendar. Like Uzi though, funds will be limited cause Botcon's the next week.

As far as something before then I suggest that we throw out a few dates and have a "poll" to see what works. Thinking March? How about the 13th or 20th or April 17th? All Saturdays. With this much notice I could probably make any of these in Raleigh or surrounding area.
