With all the exciting new Thrilling 30 toys based on IDW designs, I decided in a combination of curiosity, neurotic boredom, and a desire to procrastinate to try and compile a list of all the modern Transformers toys that have either appeared in IDW comics, or were intended to represent IDW characters. I realise that AHM in particular used a bunch of designed pretty closely based on G1 toys, but wasn't sure where to draw the line, so stuck to listing recent figures.

EDIT: Updated w/ FOC Starscream (dunno how I managed to miss that, was sure I'd added originally) FOC Sideswipe (not a perfect match since it's a Jazz retool, but hey), Barrel Roll, Black Shadow, Lockdown, MP Acid Storm and Sunstorm (they [will] use the MP-11 mould, but close enough), Octane, Dropshot, Heavy Load, Hailstorm, and Lugnut.
EDIT: Updated with toy image links.
EDIT: Added new Thrilling 30 stuff, removed a few such as Universe Ravage (clearer panels have since shown it's not that toy) and Barrel Roll (although it's his only toy, his model in RID is only very, very loosely derived from it).
EDIT: Added BotCon G2 Sideswipe, since close inspection shows it's the Universe design in TDoOP.

RiD has Starscream appearing in his Generations FoC Deluxe toy form and Sideswipe in his FoC form. I think in the background in the last pages of issue 13 we even see Blitzwing in his Generations Voyager body stanging behind Astrotrain.

You might wanna re-classify Drift. He was in a Cybertronian form all throughout AHM and didn't appear in the earth-based mode his toy was designed after until Ongoing #1 and the final pages of his mini-series. I forget which was published first.

Similarly, off the top of my head: Lockdown appears in his ROTF form in the Drift mini, and Silverbolt in his Universe design is on display during 'Chaos' of the previous ongoing.

I, for one, am very happy to see actual TOYS appearing in my Transformers comic books again. I think Hasbro must have realized that the media exists to promote the toy line, and the work coming out of IDW in past years looked nothing like any of the Transformers toys any more. I honestly had a hard time following some of the art IDW was doing for a while, which is why I stopped reading it back then.

I'm pretty sure that the Furmans -ation's and Spotlight Optimus Prime used the MP-01 Optimus Prime as their model.

It was a close design but the legs transformed differently, mainly his fuel tanks became a large part of his thighs. Oh and Generations Octane (Tankor) appeared in AHM.

So if one was to make the IDW cast as a toy line it might look like this (14 Autobots and 20 Decepticons so far):

Autobots (A mix of Classic, Universe and Generations):
    [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

    [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

I discounted Universe Deluxe Sideswipe and Generations Deluxe Orion Pax, since they have newer toys replacing them, Generations Sideswipe and Generations Legends Optimus Prime.

Decepticons (a mix of ROTF, Universe, United, Generations and Reveal the Shield):
    [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

    [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

    [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

I discounted Masterpiece Starscream, as they have Generations FoC Starscream replacing him now. You might be able to use the retail versions of Brawl and Onslaught instead of the SDCC versions, but Blast Off is definitely the SDCC version of the toy.

Oops, just a note, you have Universe Ratbat in the 'Con lineup....he only appeared in that body in The War Within (sort of)...might want to swap that out with a shot of Senator Ratbat (from Takara Generations).
Really cool that you're compiling all this, Scaleface...it's a really handy visual shorthand to have!

Thanks. I'm very surprised to learn that they have repurposed 9 different TFPrime/WOF/WFC universe toys as G1 versions of the characters. Makes sense as the WFC era toys look more G1 than TFPrime anyways. I think the only people who insist WFC be part of TFPrime, and not G1 seem to be a few Hasbro execs! The designers and writers are certainly happy with them being G1ish.

I updated the first post everyone's suggestions. When I have time I'll try and go through and link each name to a toy image of TFWiki.

Oh, and @MHC, I put Drift in with AHM since his Earth body showed up on some covers for it, even if he didn't get it in-story 'til ongoing. Kind of a similar situation with Blurr, he has his AHM head sculpt, but didn't get his Earth mode until ongoing, where he got a totally different new head...

You list a toy for Spotlight Thundercracker. Do we have any confirmaiton that Hasbro is actually releasing this toy?

Oh, third party stuff to appear - Do the FansProject not-Stunticons count?

Well, not an actual confirmation, but the Spotlight basically acts as one, now we know that they exists to be used as pack-in comics.

And why on Earth would the FP Stunticons go on? I swear they haven't even appeared in IDW since those toys were announced...

They are modeled after the IDW concept art, but yeah, have not appeared in fiction.

Isn't this Universe Deluxe Acid Storm in ongoing #7?

Huh, didn't realise that. Well, comparing the final toys to their ongoing designs, I wouldn't say there's anything like enough resemblance to qualify them.

The colour scheme certainly is, but then the leg and wing designs feel very like the MP mould... In the Roche illustrated issue where Hot Rod goes to the asteroid, Acid Storm has what's unambiguously the MP mould, with a flat green non-camo deco. I'll throw the universe toy up there too for now, I guess.
