Gento will be available as a stand alone figure or along with his trailer in the Battle Sentinel set. The sentinel pack is presumed to include all the previous parts the original BT set had as well as new shoulder pieces similar to those featured with the previous purple/blue versions made for the con exclusive rts mold figures. The armor set part are indeed also still compatible with the rts mold.

Current release date is November and he will be widely available at most sellers.

Interesting! I hope they put out recolors for the various tanker's they've made-I'd love to have this for Dagger/SG magnus

 

Btw it appears that Gento (the base figure) may be a stand alone product and this battle sentinel will be him plus a re-release of the original armor set but also including new versions of the shoulder pieces previously used on the blue/purple versions. Doesn't seem to have a new chest plate however which is unfortunate.

Yeah I have em all saved, both gento and the sentinel versions pics, not sure if the mods should merge the threads or just delete the other as its more or less the same product with two skews far as I can tell.

 

I like the new weapon.

 

After going through MT's new catalogue I can now confirm this will be available both as a stand alone figure; whom the original battle tanker set is compatible with (so feel free to throw out your dogey rts figure!) and a complete version that includes the trailer/armor and extra weapons.

Edit: he's also set to release in november along with the nemesis version as it was delayed to that month.

 

I can't say no to maketoys. Their stuff is just to awesome. I'm in.

 

Nice. I'm in for the stand-alone figure since I already have the tanker. Looking forward to this!

 

I did look into the add ons for the trailers (front bumper and chains etc..) but they were going for as much as the trailer was on it own - so that was a no then.

I like this enough to consider it - I might keep Optimus in the armour though and use this guy as a stand alone robot he looks nice enough to be something you'd want to play with.

Asuming he's not quite so richly priced a Hyper Novea.

 

I dont like it... Looks funny all combined together, I will stick with my united G2 prime and battle tanker combo!

Man I wish they'd just release the handle for the bigger sword. Why they didn't include one that wasn't connected to that stupid light up gimmick in the first place still annoys me to this day.

It was only a matter of time I guess before Maketoys repainted the cab section of Hyper Novae to go with the original Battle Tanker!

 

I'd rather just have the trailer all by itself in RID Scourge colours to go with my FunPub Scourge.

 

It looks like the "new versions of the shoulder pieces previously used on the blue/purple versions" are part of the Gento base figure; you can see them attached to the parts that also contain the front wheels in this photo.
