Kind of has the MMC Sixshot lots of repetitive line detailing thing going on. Interesting to see how this plays against a knownish quantity in FT and if it forces their hand a little.

Looks like its scaled to MP-08 - I prefer the scale that FT is pushing myself

I know myself, and I could have been drawn into this - despite knowing FT Swoop is coming. But it's not happening at 200 bones.

 

Yeah it does have a lot of ridges...

in this case that scaling doesn't really bug me because he's the short one anyway. I may get this for Tera mode, just because of the 18 inch chromed wingspan!

My issue is it is scaled to mp08......I'd imagine FT Swoop will be bigger....around MP10 size but options are good as there is seemingly a market for smaller dinos. I'd like to see tge alt mode but I love FTs scale so I can wait. It's also coded DB01 so I imagine all the dinos will be coming and in that respect they shoulda started with Snarl or Sludge IMHO.

Also, a very BAD decision to extend the beak that way in bot mode. Should have hidden the beak inside the crotch or something.

 

Fans Toys Scoria is priced at BBTS at $199.99, wouldn't be surprised if their upcoming Swoop was proced the same.

 

I reckon he'll be less. Smaller and not as complex = less parts = less money.

 

$199 seems like a better deal for Scoria than this figure. And why no alt mode picts if they're this far along? I get the teasers thing and all but this is a completed figure with some potentially stiff competition. Wouldn't surprise me if FT went ahead and released some teasers or drawings if Swoop is a WIP.

And I agree with archieboy; that crotch design is... um... unfortunate.

 

The beak looks ok to me, but totally kills any potential waist articulation (though that may be fairly universal to his design - short or panel-lined beaks may not be popular)

 

Well really I think Fanstoys swoop will cost about the same. But like myself, I think people who are buying Scoria will want their swoop to match or be by the same company so since I have ordered Scoria I'll be waiting for Fanstoys. But this one does look good.

 

I'm pretty sure FansToys' will be cheaper and better looking.

 

Meh, it looks OK, but not MP level. I'll wait for the FT version.

 

Having Scoria coming I'm unlikely to jump ship for this.

But I'll watch with interest.

EDIT - I'm hoping FT come out with a proto of their Swoop now stood with Slag and Prime.
