Looks good for what it is, but . . . is this necessary in this day and age?

It's the G2 Laser Prime mold (maybe w/o trailer?) with slightly better articulation, because the original mold was probably the best or second best mold in all of g2 (Dreadwing!!!).

The original mold was already pretty good, voyager robot plus a trailer to add mass and a base mode.

The design itself is really blocky, based on the source material, so . . i don't know if it looks that good next to the FP/MT/MMC/PE class of neo-CHUG

Plus there are other prime options: Striker Manus, the Tanker series based on either the Haskara mold or MT's new base robot, plus Orion, plus the downsized Voyager MP prime KO

    I dunno

I liked G2 prime, i thought it was excellent and this improves it, i just dont think i'd spend money on those improvements

Too little, too late. It lacks the sophistication of today's Transformers... especially at "Masterpiece" scale.

They're gonna have to price these well below $100 to sell through, I suspect.

At Voyager scale I would've bought this in RID Scourge colors.

I like it, and I wouldn't mind owning it just to show support. If I have money after Scourge.

So it's a less interesting, simplified design figure somewhere between MP Prime and MakeToys Battle Sentinel if it were upscaled. It'll sell with the "bigger is better" crowd, but beyond that probably not even worth a second look. Do the front wheels even peg upright in alt mode?

There has GOT to be a better way to deal with the feet in truck mode.

This is the best looking of all 3 of their figures, but he needs a trailer of some kind from them or someone else for me to be interested. But this optimus design is probably my second favorite of all time after the original, so well done here.

I do like that we are finally seeing some more unique things - 3rd parties could use a freshness boost.

Looks cool, but also looks very Hasbro retail. The price would have to be just right for me to get on board.

This has my attention, and could probably still work for Chug collections at a Leaders size. Should look good with CW Leader Megs. Wonder if the trailer will have that goofy decal the original had if they make one. Personally I don't need the trailer though

I'd be all over this if it included the tanker trailer. As is, I dunno.

What I really want is for Takara to engineer an official G2 Lazer Prime mold.
